Budnipper1's Account Talk

Back home from Destin and thankful that my nest egg didn't shrink while away. 50G/50F maintained, but wishing I had some in the "I' yesterday...relying on Ebb's tracker and 12%'s logic, moved 50% to I today, but probably back out tomorrow. (Destin was GREAT!):)

I live in the Destin Area. Terrific Fishing, Scenery (both Beaches and Bikinis)....... until a dreaded Hurricane makes landfall.

I was there in 1998 and there was much reconstruction going on then, repairing from a recent storm. Destin really has changed since then...getting better and better. My daughter moved back home last year from a two year stay in Ft. Lauderdale, right after the last hurricane there. Don't think she liked it much...I've always preferred the panhandle and the Gulf over the Atlantic side. That sand is awesome. You are very fortunate to call Destin home.

Presently on hold with TSP hotline trying to IFT to 40% G, 60% I. They say system is slow and don't know how long before it's back to normal. Now they say my change is done but can't guarantee that it will be effective by COB today.

I almost got through the web site but after 2 extra layers of acknowledgement about RISK it almost took my changes; then said the site was down and to try again later. I swear the confirm button cam up but who knows!

bud
i had to ift by phone also, but susan confirmed my transfer and said it would come in the mail 7-10 days

I just tried the website again and got to the page before you enter your email address to make the change and it hung up and did the "page can't be displayed" thing. This is the first time I've had a problem with an IFT on the Website. Aggravating as hell, ain't it?:D

Hopefully locking profits going 100% F today. F fund is overdue some gain and with the holiday weekend coming, I didn't have the guts to stay in stocks for one more day. Sorry ebb...not that I don't have confidence in your tracker...mostly I just don't trust my luck lately...:notrust:

Feels like I'm between "a rock and a hard place" today. Chose to let the 100% F ride another day... come on F fund, do something!

Holiday weekend is over and it's back to work. Won't have time to IFT tomorrow by deadline, so I've made my move early. (50F,20C,15S,15I) Since my frequent transfers haven't always been the right choices, I think I'll let this combination ride for a while. We can't all be "day-traders".:D

Exiting the I fund for now...Internationals brings the big bucks but it's too weird for my money right now. Guess I'll wait for the F fund to eventually give me some of my money back... hopefully, before it rots!:D
