Bitcoin

The Chinese don't like their people using a different currency, or at least buying / selling it on local exchanges.

Actually shocked on this news. Why close exchanges? The money to be made on the exchanges alone means income for the Chinese. Unless they know something about the crypto chains these things are based on?

I'd say in these areas... $4225- $4200 - $4175. It could be a bear flag, however.

This chart was captured a couple hours ago. btc is back up to $4424 as I write this.

Thanks. I'll be watching. Looks like a buying opportunity is coming soon

I used this morning's rally to sell all my holdings. Just not getting a good feel if this pullback is just starting, or finishing. I took a big hit on litecoin. I bought it various times over the last couple of days between $75 - $77 when it looked like it was turning back up, but sold this morning at $70.69. It had been near $65 overnight.

I'm all cash now... so the bottom should be in. :D

We'll come back to this post in a few years to see if he was right or wrong...

JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon says bitcoin is a 'fraud' that will eventually blow up

"It's worse than tulip bulbs. It won't end well. Someone is going to get killed," Dimon said.

Bitcoin fell to trade around its session lows after Dimon's comments.

Dimon's criticism comes at a time when some well-known figures on Wall Street are starting to embrace the cryptocurrency.

I'm itching to buy this dip tonight. If it's forming an H&S the neckline is in the $3950 - $4000 area.

I saw that. But being a traditional banker type, I would think they would all say its not a real currency. If some traditional bankers were in crypto and sold because of his comments then I guess I could see the drop.

I thinks its just gone up so much that a sell off is to be expected. Its a healthy market that does that. It may need to test the breakout area after the fork happened.

Tom ,
Do you have a margin account on GDAX? If so, have you ever shorted a coin? Just planning ahead in case one day I might want that option. Still waiting on my deposit of USD to clear
