Birchtree's Account Talk

From J.P. Morgan - "They continue to believe money managers will chase performance into the end of the year and that positioning for strong Q4 earnings could provide a further boost to the market."

If a 9 month (40 week) cycle is in play it bottomed 2 weeks early with the Dubai scare. I notice that dividend stocks are generally looking more undervalued than the broad market right now - they may be getting ready to outperform. Signs of economic recovery seem to be getting stronger with eadh week's economic reports. Stepping back, the basic suggestion for the mid-term picture is for higher highs to be made into January 2010. There is an outstanding upside target from the 45-day cycle to the 1130-1153 level on the SPX.

Birch
welcome back. i thought for a minute there that you were done with us I fund B&Hers. hee hee !!!! Happy Trading to all.

I will remember Jaimee, Rachel, Kalika and another that has surfaced without a name yet. Woods always was such a role model in his dealings as a golpher and his public life as someone who has triumphed over racial prejudice with admirable self-discipline. Shagging Jaimee while his wife was pregnant....could be worth an $80 million apology. Cheetah has confessed to having dime a dozen extra-marital affairs. Liberals accept this nasty adulterous behavior as common place and established in the liberal arena especially among atheletes. Poor Tiger Woods, in my opinion, has disgraced himself and his profession and now has become just another prominent iconic American slut puppy dirt bag with his trangressions of the heart. Even the African-American community is upset over these trangressions - they are unhappy because all the hoochie-mamas were white - they just don't have a clue. How many white women does one brother waaant? There, I'm done with this issue.

Well since we're talking politics - gender - race - religion - and this is a family discussion I feel we need to elaborate a little.

Instead of limiting ourselves to Adultery -- it would be good to include many other 'transgressions' which are equally bad:

Murder -- once a life is taken it can't be brought back.
Rape -- is perhaps worse since it is not mutual
Arson -- burning down someone's home and all they have acquired over the years
Theft -- steeling everything another has acquired over a life time

There are numerous offenses that are equally destructive -- if not more so. Perhaps the key behind all these offenses are not so much related to being 'liberal' or 'conservative' but are always an outward reflection of inner turmoil. A person can always 'justify' any action no matter how terrible, ignorant, senseless, and destructive it may be perceived by others. Humans are by nature prone to do many stupid things and largely resist allowing a more Supreme Power to take charge and guide them. Without this Power - LOVE for self and others will always be out of synch.

He represents an entire 'race' and an entire 'gender' - as do each of us. This same lesson applies to every person alive: It takes a life time to build a reputation and rightfully receive the honor for all that has been achieved -- It takes one 'action' to distroy it.

The issue will come back up over and over with almost every person that lives. The desire to have more will lead them all to ignore the consequences and take the chance. If we fail to recognize who we are and what we are -- and humbly acknowledge our existence - what is to prevent us from pretending 'we' are better than someone else -- what is to stop us from letting some obscure 'prejudism' or 'distorded belief' regard someone else as less than us or somehow beneath us? Perhaps equally important how do we love them, accept them and forgive them when they do make a mistake?

The hoochie-mamas keep lining up - there are now seven. Jamie Jungers, Mindy Lawton, Cori Rist, Holly Sampson. And Elin has just moved out of the house.

"Each week, investors intelligence polls the writers of 140 investment newsletters and determines whether the publisher is bullish, neutral, or bearish it has conducted this survey evey week since 1962. Last week the survey showed the percentage of bearish newsletter writers had fallen to 16.7%. This is the third-lowest bearish percentage in 22 years. It suggests the market has reached an extreme of optimism. (The two lower readings were in June 2003).

Bull markets do not die of old age. Instead they are assassinated - usually by central banks. So how many rate bullets does it take to fell a bull. You may not be surprised to hear that there is no precise answer, because it depends mainly on sentiment and liquidity. I'm staying long and strong. Think about following the trends in place until we see a loss of those 50-day exponential moving averages - 10,062, 1076, 2127.

Birth man, welcome back. Lets get back to your excellent forecasting and advise concerning the stock market. You appear to be the mvp on these boards and we don't want you going on another fishing trip unless you plan it.

Isn't Tiger 1/2 black and 1/2 Thai...also heard he's budhist...must be from the Thai side. Anyway...he needs to go back to the temple....!

What is it with you guys? Always one more remark - to show your brightness?? Swiftness? Irresistible to ideas that cut/maim/do-one-better than a previous comment?
There is a book out, been out for quite a few years, has stood the test of time for its effectiveness in helping folks keep their mind on straight. It is called Ephesians; anyway in the 6th chapter it tells about an armor that is quite impenetrable when used directed. For example, the helmet will guard your eyes, your ears, and even your thought processing. I would like to loving suggest that if it doesn't fit into your personal lifestyles, that you would use pms & allow the rest of us to not have to decide certain authors are off-limits.:)
Your market comments are valuable to all of us, but not worth the price of weeding thru that other stuff..............

If age and gender are right by grandma, you know that men have a problem this way. Measuring is our thing....:D

Its not hard to tell by reading the first sentence if the subject is "market wisdom", or somthing entirely different altogether - like Birch speaking his mind on his own discussion thread. - go Birch!

Amazing how "your opinion" in this post is exactly written from 2 other articles posted on the web by other sources.
