Panic buying, short covering, manipulation, chart trading, whatever you want to call it- We're going higher. The only resistance ahead in the DJIA is the psychological number 10K. Transports also bounced off the 50DMA and are ready to confirm the new highs any day now.

Birch it's good to see somebody taking advantage of the 50 DMA pullbacks as a buy signal. Buy the dips until it stops working; we've been a cyclical bull since March.

I'm feeling the animal spirits of the hoofhearted. I think we may be looking at a potential parabolic buying frenzy that can kick up dust at any moment. I'm staying on the tracks even when the train is approaching - getting run over can be refreshing. If we make the 10,000 level we'll see SPX 1090 and then I'll spend some more money to help the cause. A special day in the making. Snort.

LONGtime reader, first time poster.
Guess that makes me a lurker huh?

I was one of the ones who took a 110k+
beating, bloodbath, haircut... whatever
very uncomfortable term you wish to invoke.

It was NOT fun.

Decided to post to BT's thread, as this is one
of the ones I enjoy most. That, and lots of others
read here as well.

Answer me this...

Wouldn't it seem whatever your market views are.
Optimistic or Pessimistic. If you stick to them long
enough, the market will ultimately make you look good!

Nature of the beast, yes. But that is not why you all
share the knowledge. We ALL want to better our accounts.

Thanks, and I look forward to asking questions, advice,
and sharing a little input of my own....

Welcome JD. The secret to getting back even is to continue a strategy of dollar cost averaging your share prices, especially when bumping on the bottom. That is when you purchase the most shares and now those shares are working hard as we rally. I'm now dollar cost averaging my accounts to the upside which is the least painful way to accumulate shares but it does cost more. A multi-year global stock market rally has begun. The problem is having enough money to participate. If one has time the rise will be led by continous slow economic growth combined with low interest rates. That's one of the best environments for stock investing. So the future is there for those who want to participate and the potential is immense.

The VIX has busted the 22 level and is now at 21.92 down 1.07. I don't want the 20 level to come so quickly - I'm not ready to take anything off the table this soon. But I think we have explosive buying to kick in during the last hour and that will pull me further into the bull pen. Mindylou is working on a new buy list for me as we rally.

Don't get too comfy, Birchy or Bullitt, now that the double top theory is mush, the Bears will argue this is a Head & shoulders next. I'm sure you'll find it cute and amusing.

The bull is pushing me in to the hilt - will anybody follow tomorrow. Just finished buying: VCI, AEO, AE, GBX, BAC, GT, GDI, RPM. Sideline money will start jumping like fish in a pond.

Bullitt,

The "Cooler" is still hanging around Gulfport - trying to be incognito and offering friendships. It takes time to plan the setup and then comes the execution. Today was a rather nice $K day - looking forward to the rest of the week. Trying to catch my third ever $100K week. I suspect we'll take out SPX 1117 which is the key retracement level from the March lows.
