Birchtree's Account Talk

Mindylou was encouraging me most of the afternoon to pull the trigger and buy more happiness - I decided to defer my purchases until tomorrow. I don't want folks to think I'm a gunslinger. My dream of a $200K week might be shot for now. However this market is full of surprises so patience is warranted.

Yeah, she's a trip -- and in fact she and you are the next feature of my story (well Blue's Story).

You did well Birch -- cause she can get fiesty -- ya know.

Well I'm getting burnt out and ready to call it a night.

Birch, we've got a lot of new people all over the place -- and I want you to take everyone of them under your wing and do your thing.

MARKET WISE -- We are simply setting the stage for the next advancement. The MARKETS are most certainly going to 'hold' and the fear of some kind of BS major fall is a thing of the past.

We may even off for a moment or two -- but if you bail -- Tom should kick you off.:cool::cool::cool:

I thought it was widely known that BT gets his investing advice from a cat.
-no. crws, not `A' cat - it is Mindylou.
And my two, Credit & Cash, are quite jealous of her & of her unfaltering & unfailing influence on her caretaker.....:D:D

Alright Mindylou I'm throwing in the towel, when are the small caps gonna stop underperforming?

Mindylou says you'll have to wait 7 more years before the small caps are ready to resume their outperformance role - I mean they ran ahead for the last eleven years so give another sector a chance to prove worthy. There will always be individual small cap stocks that provide excellent gains in a bull market - today I had many in the oceanic up over a point or so but also had many that were nickle and dimeing me so I lost overall value - that's the problem with indexes. With the Birchtree 300 I can reach down and pull out any pretty flower at will - that's my level of control. I noticed that there are now three of the top ten trackers sitting on the lily pad - that makes them easy pickin.

"Mary Ann Bartels reveals that she's looking for a correction - a pullback somewhere between 4-10%. And she expects it will last 4-6 weeks." Hope springs eternal - but while QE2 is at work there may not be a consolidation lasting more than a few days. Best policy is to wear those sticky pants, be strong and stay long.

I sure miss Bullitt - he'll find himself and will return stronger than ever and help us all to the higher highs of this mega trend secular bull market - I have faith.

Must have missed you chatting it up about Lakes-

Here you go. I guarantee it!
We used to have a cabin there when I was growing up.

100 Best Ranch Vacations in North America: The Top Guest and Resort Ranches

(click pics) The Courtney's fed us when we had gotten delayed by a day & 1/2 coming out of a failed 7 day trek,
and found their lodge going on dark with 9 miles left to hike into Stehekin. After feeding us, they gave us a ride into town. (And we were rough!)
They cooked the best meal my friends and I had ever eaten, even to this day we still rave about how there was no comparison.
I bought my Mom and her Hub a week's vacation there and they loved it. It's a fantastic place to get out in the woods and enjoy the 55 mile Lake as well.

shhh, keep it quiet. ;)

Yes, not only does she run my life and sleep with me even when I take my afternoon naps, she likes to help me build my portfolio and make money. She is my investing system. She noticed that #7 pokerstar629 clucked to the lily pad today but is waiting on #12 tom1tom1 to be the next. Two heads are always better than one.

Where would one go to find a feline that can make him some money? I enjoy reading all your post Birch, with or without a dictionary.

Did Mindylou tell you to dump your AIG shares last month? You still holding?

Handballer,

I'm still holding my AIG position - they are still the best insurance company in the world.

Buying'em a little cheaper this morning: MRK, TEN, MDR, GE, CBG, ARM, AVY, EXP, SPN, CPX, JAH. Several notices of dividend increases and I'm participating - I can definitely smell what the bull is cookin. Now if I can just build more buying power to purchase more happiness. Mindylou keeps adding to my list - so it never ends. The more you own the more you make - be in to win.

Birch thought I would visit you and return the favor.:D
Well record low today in El Paso, Tx. 4 degrees at the house, roads are clear though. Send some heat.:)
Mother in Law lived in Port Charlott, FL and probably misses it since she moved in with us two years ago, doesen't miss hurricane Charley at all. Wife was raised in Chicago and doesn't miss the winters there.

Good luck and enjoy the bounce.;)

Our member Robo is in El Paso. I own a large block of EP stock that is starting to move. My daughter lives in Chicago and flies to Houston weekly to work in Texas City as a program manager contractor for BP. She is helping them with their safety issues. I keep telling her to really fit in with the old boy engineer network she needs a nice pair of Tony Lamas. So many things to buy and so few dollars to spend - but the sweet smell of superlative bull manure is working its magic for sure.

I got some sand there I could sell ya!
Has held it's value since the 1960's!
Taxes are cheeep ;)

It would appear there is more fear starting to creep into the top 24 on the tracker - I like it. This provides a turtle a great opportunity to move up the road now that it is clearing. The flood of capital into the market will propel us much higher.

The push is on for the last hour. If I can make $25K today I'll be earning buying power and won't have to wait until the gains off the NFP numbers. So push the VIX down to 16.50 and let'er rip.

COB 2/4 I'll be 40C/60I. Moving out of my 20% S position hopefully above $22.00. Who knows where the I fund will close tomorrow now that we are $0.17 short. But I hink I'm poised to move up the ranks.

Can you help translate the .80 I fund loss? It took me by surprise with the The charts showing a .gain of .02

The I fund was devalued by Barclays due to the value of the dollar rising - this money will come back within a few days. They do this to throw off traders trying to take opportunity of time sequences. It's just part of the I fund characteristics and some times it will be in your favor and sometimes it will go against you. I'm buying back a small position in the I fund COB 2/4 but don't expect to see the return of the owed $0.17 until Monday.
