Birchtree's Account Talk

The VIX is breaking down nicely below support at 22.50 - we are on our way to the 16 level which may signal caution. We could be there in October just when the 4-year cycle is scheduled to nest. I'll probably be making a few small moves to the lily pad in anticipation of market pressure. VIX currently at 21.42 down 1.77.

My oceanic took in $138K for the week - that still leaves me down $354K from my previous high point of $1294K. So at week #78 I'm resting at $940K from the March lows of '09. I've only got 17 weeks left to nail in the $2M mark - I think I'll do it fine once past October. My margin account is being converted back to a CMA account with Merrill Lynch and my stocks may provide more buying power - if that turns out to be the case I plan to do more purchases to ride more bull market - the more you have in the more you win. More wall flower ownership will get me to the $2M quicker. Snort.

With volume starting to increase - next week's four day run could be a barn burner. So many on this board and wall street have missed this last run - so sorry about that. But next week is going to be a must buy for many - regardless of their fears. There is nothing wrong in paying up to get in - the longer one waits the higher the costs. But nonetheless this market is still cheap on a valuation basis and 20 trading days from now less so. I'm trying to be strong and stay long. All I need is a $160K week to set the wagon straight.

I count 76 lily padders ahead of me on the tracker - this might develope into an easy take down to get into the top 50 rankings. I surely could use a $100K four day week - what are the chances of that happening for my oceanic account? I'm going to stay positive and keep watch for the coming pressure of the 4-year cycle.

100k! ...I'll be lucky if I can score 3k in int's.... oh well I guess another 20 yr slog in the fed guvmunt might make it happen... (head down walks away..kicks rock) :D

I actually have two accounts - my oceanic and my tugboat. The tugboat account is my TSP money. The oceanic is my bank of america merrill online money. I made $138K last week in an essentially four day up market - if you add in the $54K I gave up on Monday I would have been ahead $192K. I'd like to do the same this week but I know that won't happen - so I wish for less.

We watch the sun go down everyday (in our small minded simple life world) with a cold one after supper, were in our early 30's and have our whole lives ahead of us to think and laugh about big important people who brag about their riches, what advice would you give us? (we need a good laugh!)

I have 317 stocks in the Birchtree 300 fund - would you like a couple of them? Once you reach my level it's hard not to make money - it takes money to make money. And I certainly did my time in grade to get where I'm at financially. Have you ever lost $248K in one day - I have and lived to tell about it. This bull market is going to make me very rich.

Now when I was thirty years old I was buying utility stocks through a Sharebuilder program which contained 30 stocks - I did that for several years on a dollar cost averaging basis and reinvested all the dividends. You can get to my level by making appropriate scarifices and saving. Just keep a positive attitude - you haven't met Caymanbrach yet - he makes me look poor.

I don't own a lake place yet - that's why I'm trying to make serious money in my retirement so I can afford that luxury. There are a couple of guys on this MB that have over $500K in their TSP accounts - my advise is learn before you churn. I can make $40K every time the C fund goes up a point - the most recent high price was $17.54 - so only three more points to go to get back to the high price. At some point I'm going to selectively bleed off some of my TSP funds into a Roth IRA and really prepare for old age. Good luck to you and the family. Remember patience is virtuous. By the way, would you mind helping me with my taxes?
