Darn I fund...makes no sense even with a FV.

i got lucky yesterday and today is all.

Missed a lot of gains in January waiting on a weak opening...oh well, 2% for any month is nothing to sneeze at. Back in the I fund today, hoping the early slide turns into an avalanche!

careful holding I fund might have a little pain at first, i think the pullback has just begun. though good luck! the market has had its share of surprises lately

Morning all...I have been sulking on the sidelines watching this rally go on without me. I got into the S fund on Wednesday after a rotten open and am now poised on the "sell" trigger hoping to pocket a 2% gain. Jobs report is amping up the markets, but will it hold? Two things I am worried about: one, is this one of those days with a huge morning rally only to be followed by a retreat back down by the end of the day; and two, can this market keeping going up? As far as one goes: it sures feels like it to me, I have been caught trying a short term play (which is about all I do) based on a big open only to see it peter out after the trade deadline. As far as two goes: I wouldn't be employed by the government if I had a clue. Best of luck to all!

Welcome back John! You read my mind. Will there be a sell off this afternoon? What's your guesstime as we near the noon deadline?

Good to be back...and I am heading out. I think we should eeke out a .75 to 1% gain for the day (S fund). I don't think the current numbers are going to hold through the end of the day.

Sulking yes you have, good to see game you are in, choose you did not the I-Fund?

My theory that the international markets would rebound faster than the US was proven incorrect...so me and my light saber decided to jump into the S fund. Looks like the S fund help up with a +1% close...may put me on top for the month of may.

Thinking about a short term jump back into the S fund. If it is down +1% shortly before close, I am in.

Best of Luck All!

Looking at moving to the sidelines today to pocket a nice morning pop. I don't like burning an IFT so early, but the move is consistent with my trading strategy (which hasn't been nearly as effective this year than in years passed).

Still smarting from missing a monthly mug by a wapping .04%

Market Outlook: too many people are optomistic for my taste

Best of Luck to all...

Too bad we can't wait until the end of the day. It may still go lower.

I am not getting greedy, just thankful that it held steady all day around -1%. The last few times I moved in on a down morning I saw dramatic afternoon recoveries. Now keeping my fingers crossed for a strong opening later this week.
