Last time I was in Wchita Falls (Tech School 1979) I was in a terrible tornado in their local mall. They don't call it tornado alley for nothing, and it's that time of year -- be safe.

Well, we occationally get tornados here a few times a year so that is always a concern. At least out there you can see the horizion line and see the storms coming.. here you can only see the sky if you are on the interstate freeway because at least there the trees are cut back far enought to see it.
My biggest fear is being bored to death... although I am taking my mountain bikes an will be on the look out for some sweet single track even if I have to drive to Dallas/Ft Worth to find it!!!

IMO the G will never hurt you. Look, your up 8.47%. IMO, take that gain
off the table. Even if you miss out on a big up day or two, you have all
year to wait for the next one. Some may already be gone by days end.
If your out of touch with the market in Texas, why take the chance of
a 3% drop in one day. Of coarse, read my disclaimer below. It's only my
gut speaking because thats what I would do. Good Luck

Off Topic:
I got an email from a another enginerd I know at a base in FL and he was telling that he was asked to work overtime and would be given comp time only. The way I have always understoond it is that OT is all paid, but, if you want too, you can opt for Comp Time. I've never seen Comp Time mandated by management.
He's a GS-11.
Thoughts?

I take it he is a 854 Engineer which is now NSPS -- Non Bargaining Unit -- Exempt? They are taking the less of two cost avenues -- an 11 would probably get 1.5 times his pay.....
