   SNORT

That snort was me laughing, .. I snort when I laugh! Snort snort!

Yeah, today my oceanic is gonna get hosed real good, but this is just a buying opportunity, now were gonna get real buying power. That means those all in will be back to where they were 2 weeks ago before the floor fell out from below them. Shnort SHNORT!! ::laugh:rolleyes:

This is actually a good thing the market's need a chance to digest before we advance to Dow 20,000
This market going down doesn't even bother me, snort
I'm outside spreading the superlative maneur in my rose garden, snort. The stinkier the better, snort...
Mindylou see's this as a Buying oppurtunity, snort :D
I like to ride the market in downtimes also, snort. I've got the money to do that..
I'm working on 6 million for this year, snort;)

You've heard it here before - bull markets do not like company, the market will do everything it can to make the majority gun shy and keep the bears from recognizing the prevailing trend. The bull market will power higher as long as people don't start buying into it in droves and as long as the prevailing belief is that it's a cyclical bull within a secular bear. Anybody that wants out, go ahead and get out. snort

Is it really wise for you guys to revel this much in what amounts to your luck holding out so far this year? When you slip up later I will remember ...snort snort and be sure to rub some in on you too! How'd you like them apples?

I say pile it on. A little ribbing never hurt anyone, I like to call it "constructive criticism" ....SNORT!!!....AH!, I just inhaled a booger!

You guys are making my day. Sugar would say I'm trying to stay relative. I can take the pain of heat because I'm still up nicely. Snort.

Ahh! I was waiting for you to stumble in here and catch us red handed, hehe:D
It's all in good fun birch, ...now ....Dow 16k here we come! ;)

Someone may be showing a little dividend envy. Dividends are earned and provide a back stop to market volatility - taking away the worry of capital appreciation loss. There are 22 trading days in June and I have to fit 75 dividend pays into that time frame - so there will be days when they will be stacked like yesterday. It's a great time to reinvest to build income that will remain stable in my golden years. Because there is so much company cash on their balance sheets I'm seeing increase announcements on a regular basis. I'm wondering where my next stock split will come from. I got plenty of wall flowers that would be willing to be adopted in a premium buyout. We are in exciting times. What happens if they decide to eliminate taxes on capital gains or dividends - you'll see Dow 20,000 sooner than later.

Me and BT among others are already positioned to catch the next elusive rally. When are the Enlightened Ones getting back in...Hmmm??

I'm all in brother, cien porciento! Now if things really do get hairy next week I'm in trouble. I don't expect it to though. After all the damage that's been done I reckon bernankes little speech at 4 today will lift us all up Monday.

Now the only problem is figuring when to take my profits. Finding an exit point is just as tricky as finding your entry. I try to follow a general rule, like 2% a month and I'm good. I hate taking that gain early in the month though. We'll get a feel for where things are headed next week and play it by ear. I still think things are bearish longer term and so I don't wanna be in for very long.

Till Monday, peace out. -Fish-

How would I treat this market if I were 70 years old and resting on the porch of my lake place - no different than today. My dividends will always be there to help me through any tough times - because income is reliable. I can always pull a capital gain if a larger expense pops up. I can't turn wine into blood but I can hedge my future. I have a stock with a $90K capital gain that only makes me $1K a year but I plan to make another $30K on it before I take the gain in 2012, then I'll reinvest the gains into higher paying dividend stocks like pipelines - it's like harvesting in the garden. This is what I'll be doing for the rest of my life - buying wall flowers.

looks like a bit of a mid-day reversal, altho that can change later on today:

I'm 30% in; hope that doesn't put the boogy on you.

Don't worry Shelprock. Even you can't knock the wheels off thus Bull market.

Well I made my move now I'm living with it. I have that green feeling though today. Oh well it is what it is, but if we don't get some kinda positive news soon this downtrend could really pick up steam, however I can only imagine the "experts" up there in Washington are running around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to figure out what to say to turn things around. I know they don't have really anything to pull outta their hats but they can come out and give some kinda positive speech and tell everyone that everythings just peachy to move the market up and give us an opportunity to bail. Well I hope we see something positive happen this week, good luck everyone.

They may have nothing in their hats but other places to pull from:

Hats = something slightly substantive, maybe

Asses = pure conjecture or outright lies.

I'm really looking for a point to jump off this train before it wrecks. I've been pounding my head into my computer desk since my ill decided decision last Fri. Why did you guys let me do that? :cheesy: I'm at a decision point right now and am very antsy, I don't know what this market wants to do, I believe if we move into 11k Dow things could get ugly fast based on the " psychological" effect. I'm gonna wait more day then I'm gonna call it quits, too much gloom out there, if things move up it'll be on big news only and I don't think that's gonna happen soon.

Dude,

Math out your losses. In a ~7% market correction you have lost 4.95% as of last night. You are ahead of the game. Mellow Out.:toung:

And, if the dumb money hour bump ain't dumb money than you are looking quite good today. Losing 2.61% by getting in a little early is worth the cost of not blowing your last IFT. Summer is usually choppy and a very difficult time to trade. Enjoy the green that is probably coming while fully invested (very risky to be all in on the 'S Fund') and pre-set a true allocation for later in the month that will smooth the summer bumps.

All in all a nice move. Much green in your future...

Despite the fact that we've moved down into the red, I believe tmmrw will be a big day up. I believe this is a simple set up opportunity to take a quick 2% gain for the month. I'm not gonna get greedy with all the negative sentiment out there. Quick in and quick out before fridays job #'s come out, I think they will suck and coupled with today's manufacturing report well see stocks drift lower, that there's my 2cents worth. Peace -fish-
