IFT vs FV

please go check James's thread...he's looking for this type of info relative to the new restrictions.
The main reason the TSP is losing so much money on IFTs is their inability to figure the fair value on the I fund. To me that is ridiculous and they should take the hit for any excess charges, NOT US!!!
What really shakes their tree is if all 3.8 Million TSPers start frequent trading!

Last week was good, I looked at the seasonal chart in the discussion on the front page. So I planned and executed to buy I 100% Tuesday, Sell 100% Friday. Good for +$0.52, (+2.16%). I am one lucky monkey. Does that annualize to 200% gain in a year?

Nice read, TSPTALK commentary has a nice graph of the emotion cycle today. Sounds like capitulation/despondency. I'm in G until later this week, and will take a peek at I fund then.

TSP board made a decision that 90% of the voting members thinks is a bad move, because they know what is good for us, and we don't. They are violating the CFR that says they can't do that. Unbelievable, I have to force myself that they actually did that.

You call that professional? You call that being experts? You can that representing the members? These are the fools holding my retirement account hostage? Unbelievable.

While Japan was up overnight, the CAC, DAX and FSTE are all down today. So it isn't likely to be a big gain in the I, if there is a gain at all. When New York opens, that should have some influence on Europe.

I hear that Black Friday consumer retail sales are looking good at first look. It may take a day or two to hear more info. If so, that's good for stocks.

On the other hand, Oil is now approaching $100, and we also have some news expected out this Wednesday about the state of the U.S. economy. If the nubmers are down, then we could have a very bad Wednesday/thursday action this week,

In short, it COULD be a good week, but then on the other hand, maybe just more roller coaster action with more ups and downs.

We'll have to wait and see how this week pans out.

Good luck, and happy investing.

OPEC increasing production..might keep this number down!

Isn't that every week?

I think the reasons for this action is not supported legally.

TSP board limits frequent fund transfers
By STEPHEN LOSEY

The board overseeing the Thrift Savings Plan is taking aim at day traders by restricting the ability of plan participants to shift money between funds to only twice a month.
....

Okay, fine. Then allow me to immediately roll-over my TSP account to an IRA and I'll pay my $10 transaction fee to TDAmeritrade. That'll save you clowns a lot of money.
