Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

Well, I went to the I fund like everybody else. If this morning's bounce was a dead cat bounce then it will crash again this afternoon or tomorrow. The dollar will be down tomorrow. If the USM crashes this afternoon, we might get another -FV or a hold off on yesterdays'.

GL to us!

I'm braced for whatever happens. That F fund gathering sure vanished in a hurry, didn't it? :D

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

The VIX is down nearly 17%.

Seems like some fears have been calmed, somewhat, off of Ben's comments.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

I guess you didn't see my morning I fund estimates?

I did see your I fund estamates, I use my calculations and they tell me that the I fund is to high. The EFA closed at 73.63 which should be equal in the I fund at 22.33, yet the I fund closed at 22.67 that tells me the I fund is 34 pts to high and it should be a great day to buy.

My eighth grade teacher once told me that

"Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even if it is wrong."

I very well could be wrong, but this is my opionion and I will stick with it.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

The I fund did not lose enough yesterday, I predict that no matter what the EFA does the I fund will lose groung today.

I was not disagreeing with you. I was merely trying figure out why you would post that the I fund will lose ground today, after I had already posted my estimate for the I fund to lose 5 cents today.

Btw, what is your estimate for the I fund to close at tonight? 22.33?(from you above quote, 22.67-.34)

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

BTW 350 - several people have tried to explain much of what we have learned about the I fund to Frizz. He has his own ideas and doesn't seem interested in ours. Let it go.

Yes, I know. I just don't like to see false information on this message board. And this has nothing to do with a difference of opinions.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

I fund does sound like a great idea for an IFT for tomorrow, but what do y'all think about the chance of a +FV today in the I fund resulting in a FV correction tomorrow?

This FV situation has me intrigued. Has there ever been back to back days of FV?... It just seems that if nothing unusual happens today that a +.39 correction is too big

Yes they have done back to back, including back to back in opposite directions. Could you imagine if the USM surge this afternoon, they could replace the 39 cents they owe and add another 10, 15, or 20 cents. That be absolutely brutal for those that were in the I fund yesterday and got out for today. There are many FV possibilities. I'm hoping they don't give the whole 39 back because I am in for tomorrow. Right now, there is no reason to think it will go that way

I agree. After today the I fund should be have no FV priced into the share price.

Re: 350Z's I Fund Thread-Feb07

I have it at 22.49 right now, but with as big as differential as it is, I do not see it giving it all back in one day. This is why I did not go 100 % I fund, but I did add some in case it does give it all back. I am looking at a 2 or 3 day drop in the I fund, including yesterdays drop. It depends on what the I fund actually closes at today and what the EFA does tommorrow. I do beleive that the I fund will close between 22.50 to 22.55, which is more that -5 pts.

He has his own ideas and doesn't seem interested in ours. Not true, I have complemented 350 a couple of times that his info was right on. I use his information to use with mine to help me make my decisions.

Re: Markets seem to be getting some

momo now. We should see a triple digit gain in the DJIA with buyers stepping in ......bargain hunters. Lets cross our fingers!!! 2:30 est. is the magic time for programs to kick in....
guess not

Down 1.915% or -44 cents plus 39 cent FV = -5 cents total.

I think Yahoo charts was 1/2 hr behind again today, because at 11:35 est. my spreadsheet didn't catch the FTSEs' 60 points drop at the close.

What does 34 points too high mean?

MSCI EAFE posted the I fund at -2.2260 or -51 cents, plus 39 FV from yesterday = -12 cents. I fund price should be 22.55.

Frizz B,

If you had posted your estimate 15 minutes prior to the deadline, I would say, "good call". OK, I would like you to post the I fund price tomorrow and next week, because I'm getting tired of explaining this EFA vs I fund thing.

Almost forgot, No FV today. Just the correction from yesterday.

Re: Markets seem to be getting some

guess not

A triple digit gain in the DOW would have been a two-edged sword. On the one hand, you were in US stocks today and would have made more than the ending 50-point gain made you. On the other hand, you (like me and many others) jumped to the I fund tomorrow. A 100 point gain would have been a little more than half a percent since noon and might have triggered a +FV today, which we would have eaten tomorrow.

Be happy - you made money today!
