Despite the talk, Ratajczak said he thinks the Fed is content to let inflation gradually decline.
"In the old days, people thought you just quash inflation and that takes it out of the picture. That's not true anymore," he said.
Bernanke is aware that the proper monetary policy looks to achieve a blend of growth and inflation, Ratajczak said.
"It is a mix and there is some art to it and it is not purely mathematical," he said.

The fed will not hike and the sell-off was based on pure profittaking and shakeout. Next week, we will see a nice rally. Glad, I stayed put in the I Fund today.

Don't worry about it!!!! Sometimes you get caught in the middle of a sell-off. The worst thing to do is panic. I am down about 2.63% since Monday,it is part of playing the game. I am staying in the I Fund for the recovery mode. I will give several more trading days and then make a choice. This was expected, I wrote about it last week and did not listen to myself..lol. Should ofs and ifs are bad words to me. These kind of sell-offs makes a true trader shrug. So what, small bump in the road to a long road ahead. So put your chin up and buy IMO..Its a percentage game ..remember that!!!

nice close..OSMs will be huge tomorrow with a super return...tonight was a +.18 FV not bad at all, we will get the rest tomorrow. I want to get back the 2.5% that I lose the last week and I will. Yen is up as I type and Euro is flat. Watch that US Dollar sell-off tomorrow.

The fed minutes come out this afternoon. I am staying put in the I Fund. It is lagging after the sell-off last week. The I Fund is the place to be in the next few weeks, IMO. Inflationary pressure will be tamed and the US Dollar will give it back. Also, the OSMs are lagging behind the USMs as of late. Lets not forget the Fed cannot raise rates in this environment based on the real estate market. The rates have spiked on mortgage rates lately and anymore pressure will screw the economy. Without the real estate market, you will have consumers not spending. Also, by raising rates, you will hurt the take-over Monday fever.

see IRBT today The stock is up 4.51%. Since I mentioned it, it is up 16% in less than 2 months. Anyway, great I Fund close today. Watch for some more lift-off next week. I plan to sideline my action some time next week for a pause. Almost gained back all my loses from last week. need 1.7% more

Congrats 12%. While I'm a bit more risk averse than you, you're guidance (and Griffin's) definitely helped my bottom line this week. Best of luck to you on Monday.

I bought NFI - part of the subprime debacle at the beginning of mar and I sold it Friday also made some money on the options and it still might be a buy out candidate from Wachovia. I made more money in that one stock than my wife's TSP account this year. Also shorting SIRI from 6.00 down didn't hurt either.

I like the Moxie avatar - that's all I drank when I was a kid in New Hampshire. It's great stuff to clean out the disposition.

I smell a sell-0ff tonight OSMs. Watch Japan (short-term overpriced). Also this will spill into the USMs. Locked today and G Funded it. Almost made all my $$ back down only .70 now:D from 2 weeks ago__________________

Small-caps will explode today. NASDAQ is overdue for a nice pop. After today,I will be locking profits;unless I see something. The S Fund will have a great day today.

Still early. I am staying in the S fwiw based on my gut feeling. This market is goign to breakout into the 14000s before we have a correction. Looking for the 14200s. Anyway..GL
