12%ayear's Account Talk

Well Barclay do not give +FV because of the US DOLLAR. Just as well, today we are up 1%. Thinking two more good days in the I Fund and going to the G FUND. So today and Thursday. GL

I've got to agree with Eddie..

based on:

1. Oil is going down

2. The USD is slowly strengthening

3. Financially are gaining ground back

4. Greenspan may die soon

Like to hear that many are bearish on the I FUND. Tells me to load up and enjoy a nice return from this point on. BTW it is down a tad for today. The I FUND will enjoy a nice run from these low levels.

watch the rally today ,we are down -82. I see a triple digit gain from here.

You may be right 12%, either it will happen, or it won't...I like them odds! :cheesy:

I'm still afraid for the intermediate (6-12 month) term, but in the short term, I might buy more stock. The S fund is really depressed today, down 1.8% currently. The way I see it, if stocks close at their lows, it could be quite a low price to buy at COB. However, if they turn around and rally as you expect, then it bodes well for this baby rally.

Still hate the I Fund right now! GO AMERICAN!

Any thoughts on the storm south of N. Orleans but heading west expected to become a hurricane before landfall tomorrow? Oil fields?

I just wish someone would sweep the Iranian Mullah grubs off the tracks so this train can move forward.

Don't worry about the platforms, even monsters Katrina and Rita didn't disable enough of them to affect the oil market - we can always open SPR or just import more until they're back up and pumping. The problem was the REFINERIES. Same thing this time... one this close to shore is a danger to the refineries. If the refineries are damaged or shut in for more than a few days, you're going to see more expensive gas and less of it.

Airlift,

That storm has already been factored in. Probably was a few days ago. I have friends who forecast for energy companies and financials, and am a meteorologist myself, so there's my 2 cents.

CP,
Thanks for your 2 cents. You have an incisive mind, and in addition you being a meteorologist are an invaluable asset, especially during hurricane season. It's worth a million bucks!

Well PUNCH the CORE out of that STORM!!!:D

For those who do not know, "Corepunching" is a term used by storm chasers, for when you drive through the heavy rain/hail shaft, or "punch" the core of the storm. It is most dangerous corepunching from the North, if the storm has a chance at being tornadic because once you emerge out of the muck, you may be in for a nasty surprise!:toung:
