Whipsaw's Account Talk

Ok, that worked! :D Is there any recognition for the number of times one gets into the top 10 in a month?

Like they say in NASCAR; "Finishing second is first loser". Nope, all you get is the admiration of your peers...

Well, I’m clapping at you with a job well done so far because I’m sitting here with a negative return so far.

So, here is the 'glass half full' look... I have 80% in and 2 IFTs, I could go to the lily pad but there are signs of life at this very moment (optimistic). The cavalry could come riding in over the weekend and put the unpleasantness in Ukraine to an end (very optimistic). We could get a change in oil policy to increase domestic production and reduce gas prices/slow inflation (fairly optimistic). Or the market could go lower, at which point I'll put in the last 20% and check back in May... Have a great weekend!

Fyi- i understand that the Ukraininan pronounciation is

KEY-EEF. With a final “f” sound.

The KEY-ev is the Russian pronounciation.

If you support Ukraine, the oreferred pronounciation is KEY-EeF.

I am glad i don’t have to pronounce all those Ukrainian names- it would be so easy to make diplomatic faux-pas without even realizing it.

There is a huge shortage of vowels in that part of Europe anyway.

Man, I HATE it when this happens. I did the same #$@! think in the covid dump. I'm thinking I'll bail on the next bounce, if we get one.

Just took the TSP survey they sent out this morning. Of the selections, one was geting more information on managing or changing investment options (this was the closest thing to "I WANT MORE IFTs!!"). Unfortunately, there was no way to provide input, only to pick from what was offered (which included account security, loans, rollovers, funds, etc). FWIW.

Looks like I'm along for the ride at the moment... not going to bail, not going to add any more. Wheeeeee!

Dog Food Dip actually doesn't look too bad...

But, eating it day after day after day isn't my idea of a great retirement:D

Yes, I noticed that. They said it was a survey to see what we want and it wasn't actually a survey at all as you could not say anything. Really ticked me off. After selecting topics and "survey" was over, I noticed at bottom right of screen there was a "FEEDBACK" button.

If you click on buttom, a window opens for comments and so I let them know we need a few more IFTs and if they can't do that, then they really are not trying to provide what we want, etc. And I am taking my money out of TSP when I retire. I did get a bit more "animated" with language and then copy and pasted it and submitted the message about 20 times and at about every 5 submissions I changed it up a bit as I thought of more to say. lol ..

Fairly sure it will have ZERO impact but it sure did feel good!

Hope it works out better for you tomorrow than it did for me today. I bailed but of course picked the wrong day to do it lol. Typical for me. Best of luck Whipsaw!

Network was all gooned up today, likely executing a 'stop loss' tomorrow.

I have a feeling that the market will be up tomorrow with folks loading up on stocks after the fed meeting minutes are released. I may have missed an opportunity for a nice one-day gain tomorrow, but I'm a little gun shy to try my hand right now. I hope by the time you read my words futures are way up!

Yep, nothing has changed, still in trading range, bands pointed down, still in downtrend....but, start to the day looks nice being green

I'm pretty close to zero at this point, going positive if today and tomorrow are good days. Bailing tomorrow may be a good option. Sell the rallies, they say.
