Whipsaw's Account Talk

OK, now we're getting somewhere, and I've got 30% on the sidelines! I've got another IFT in the bag... what to do, what to do... :notrust: :suspicious:

Good to see the strength after the open. Some are opining that the rate hikes may be priced in at this point?

FWIW, Black Rifle Coffee (BRCC) stock is on sale today, they rang the opening bell. Its around $14.75 at the moment.

Love my subscription! Coffee is awesome!

after they officially condemned Rittenhouse before he was aquited by a jury I would have a hard time buying that coffee myself.

Regardless, the coffee is good. Not necessarily a political stance but this reminds me of the political stance that people take when they disagree with something a company states or projects upon society. I don't think we need to begin to list all the of the companies that take positions on issues political or otherwise have done over the years. We probably would be here all day and not to mention many people who take offense to those companies continue to use their products. I have friends, as I'm sure others do, who complain and say they are going to close their social media accounts because of all the partisan views and lopsided stances they take, yet, my friends continue to use those social media outlets. Just saying.

No disrespect by your post either. I totally disagree with companies publicly sharing their views on those types of things, especially topics that are sensitive to the public. Of course they are free to do what they want I guess. I will still drink their coffee in this case because it's good.

I'll tread lightly here since I don't want my hand slapped by posting anything as coming across as political. I'll just leave it at that.

Wow... Didn't know that. Heard the great story on this company's startup and have wanted to go to Boerne, TX to visit the closest store as my sister lives nearby. But now, I am not so sure I want to.

I really wish companies would keep opinions to themselves. There are lots of companies I no longer buy from due to their attacking my principles and long-held beliefs. Many companies no longer get my business. Voting with your dollars is important when companies choose to divulge that they oppose your beliefs and what you believe is right.

There are more companies than I'd like to admit that I'd love to boycott, yet I keep buying their stuff. I gave up trying to have a hard and fast rule. However, I truly believe that if I had the strength and determination to successfully boycott Walmart, then I could get rid of them all. I just try to channel Sam Walton when I walk through the door.

Humm...yes..and companies change drastically after a founder passes on, so that has happened with Walmart. I used to love Macy's...until they made their political opinion public and stopped carrying a certain politician's product to punish them, so I decided if they hate someone for their political beliefs and try to hurt them, I need to no longer support them financially. What comes around goes around and Fair is fair. There are many others....
