Well I'm off...Just got a phone call from the State police, knowing I have the HUMMER, wanting help getting people stranded out stuck in their cars along the interstates and highways..A real mess..I gassed up last night figuring this would happen..It will be a blast blowing through the drifts..God Bless the HUMMER

All this global warming has done is give us 18'' or more of snow here. While we are enjoying a heat-wave right now(above freezing by a couple degrees), the storm that is hitting Buster's area may move our way. Hey, I really would not be upset if Buster decides he likes his storm and decides to keep it. As a matter of fact, PLEASE keep it...I really do have enuff.

Merry Christmas..I feel very good about helping out my fellow man and of course a few hotties:nuts:..
I think I made 5 runs from H.E. Baily turnpike and 4 from I-40 and made two dates

, these were folks that were stuck and stranded and almost out of gas while heading home from work or on their way to their families for Christmas..the relief and thankfulness on their faces from these poor people was very rewarding for me...and Of course I changed quite a few people's minds as to the worthiness of this wonderful American vehicle that saved their stranded butts from the snow drifts that wreckers couldn't even get to ..Once they learned my HUMMER got an avg 20MPG, they were singing a different tune about abolishing these vehicles from the road..they all admitted they had a wrong liberal left wing impression and were very sorry to have formed such a narrow mined opinion..now since changed..The two big Igloo Thermos's of Hot Coffee and Hot chocolate I brought with me, brighten their moods as well

Mission accomplished one more time..

WOW!..what a day, Whew, I think we have over a 12-15" not including wind drifts..sky is clearing now, winds are dying down and it is a beautiful Christmas Eve in a pristine winter wonderland...God bless all.

Today, as most of the Lower 48 states lay covered with a thick blanket of snow...some places as in Oklahoma, received more snow in a single day, than ever recorded in history of climatology for the State and for any day of winter...Due to this huge area covered in feet of glistening white crystals..the daylight sun rays are being diverted back into deep space and in doing so, reflecting the sun's warming rays..this has had major consciences on the Earth's ambient average temp..Because the sun's heat is being bounced back out of the Earth's atmosphere..the average planet temperature has dropped a single degree F..if this continues the world will be back to normal like before Algore came along and said it was too late and the world's ice is melting due to Global Warming..seems the opposite is happening...More to come as more people wake up..

Many scientists have predicted this effect. Global warming already appears to be injecting more fresh water into polar seas due to increased precipitation and the melting of the Greenland ice cap.
This freshening of the North Atlantic current makes its waters less dense—so they don't sink down to depths at which they would then be transported back south.
As result, the circulation stalls, with warmer water no longer being drawn north.
Measurements of salinity levels in the North Atlantic over the last 50 years show "a significant trend toward lower salinity all over the place," Quadfasel said.
Evidence from prehistoric times shows that it is possible for northern air temperatures to drop by 10ºC (18ºF) within decades.

I love watching "How The Earth Was Made" on The History Channel. I would recommend it.

A Ice Age would solve the Earths problems and will likely happen with or with out our help. I would reduce the amount of habitable land and force us to warmer regions. We would die off on a massive scale and the earth would be saved.

I believe the last mini ice age was during the time of George Washington and his crossing the Potomac. A volcano caused that one. A mini ice age was the mother of cereal grain based alcohol. All the vineyards died and the monks had to resort to Ale or Mead.

A lack of sun spot activity has been mentioned as causing a much calmer and cooler year. Missouri has had record rain the last two years. Not record breakers but in the top 5.

We are long over due a major geological event but don't hold your breath waiting for it. It will happen when you least expect it. A caldera, mega quake, mega tsunami, asteroid strike, etc. In our recorded history we have had some minor ones but not as sever at they could have been.

The things that amaze me are, the Rocky Mountains were at one time a inland sea.

El Capitan was a lava injection 40 miles by 160 mile (approx.) that formed 2 miles underground and cooled very slowly to form the hardest and largest one piece of granite in the world.

Island in the Canary Island change has a big crack in it and when it slides off into the ocean it will flood the entire East Coast of the USA.

Yellow Stone has a history of mega eruptions and could do it again in our life time.

If we are in fact destroying our habitat maybe we should be destroyed too.

I've heard that the ice cap melting is inevitable and no co2 cut backs can stop it. Surprisingly, its supposed to increase cold snaps and their severity while global temps rise.
