I've got two surfboards in the BY under the grapefruit trees. Had been on the porch, but clutter. Both from the early-mid 60s in usable condition, not worth a big whoop, but they're mine: a Challenger Fantail that I surfed on from 73 onward to replace my Australia board that got stolen along with my van from the UCSD pkng lot while I was doing another all-nighter experiment (44 hr) to the tenth of a degree, all for nothing because we got scooped by a Japanese team, karmic payback for us scooping a friendly Swedish team with our previous work, I guess, but all that work! It really bummed me out, and a Weber Feather that I bought at the Chula Vista flea market in 79, still haven't ridden it yet! Things to do and places to go before I'm done! ****in' van must have been in Tijuana by the time I got there. Wanted to hang on to my 93 Ford Explorer Sport with 4" body lift and 11 or 12" American Eagle matt finish wheels but I let it go too long to be worth it, like with my 79 Dodge D--50, gave that one to the vocational school. Liked my 2005 Tundra also with 4" body lift but smacked it but good, end of that story, too bad, so now have something different. The D-50 was the only vehicle I ever bought new until now, with the wife, her Prius-C 2013, nice! And some old typewriters. Hey, I still have my Zenith Z-248 with monitor and kb in boxes in the garage. My first computer. Wife is irritated by me keeping one old computer and monitor after another. And peripherals. People laugh, but in the intermediate cases there is data, albeit data I will probably never use. There's a load of a story about the end of my 93 Dodge Dakota mini truck, 4:43am Dec. 7, 2008, windstorm, termites at the base, the neighbor's medium-size pine tree fell across the hood, dang! Cut the tree up with him assisting so wife could go to work, next day, Friday, was her citizenship day. That's symmetrical with April 2005 when the other neighbor had a Rastafarian guy, unbonded, unlicensed logger working as a tree-man (not right), cutdown one of his pine trees near our house, a bigger one, it feel wrong, on our house. He hugged it and tried to bring it back (!), of course got thrown smartly when it reverberated, an unpleasant story for us except for that 1) wife was in _opposite_ side of house ("sounded like a bomb") and Paul Davis Restoration did a good job fixing up. Also, our house is well built.

I got a few old Transformers. Simply a shelf item to remember the Saturday mornings when I was younger. But likewise... Gold and silver seems like the step I am going towards now. Bronze.... Cheap cheap cheap... But is there any real gains in the future? I can always buy a few bricks of it to supplement the gold and silver. Personally... I kind of want gold to drop right now! Then I can use the Birchtree method and buy low and accumulate wallflowers !
 
Hi Tom....I'll PM you with that info in a bit. No rush on sending it....I'm gonna take lots of pictures with it, and post...wish it could have gone to Austin City Limits festival a week ago to see Arctic Monkeys!! I'm finishing up sock monkeys.....humm..maybe I could make more of those and sell em....will see! Burro...thanks for mug!

Does dog hair count as a "collectible" ??? I have PLENTY of dog hair, gathering around the house, in shedding season ! :D

I, too, have some old computer stuff, starting with my Commodore 64 (with 300 baud modem cartridge, AND disk drive...what a great invention !)

I still hold on to my Pioneer SX-650 receiver, and my Advent speakers that STILL sound better than any recent purchases, even after replacing the rotted-out foam "surrounds" !!!

Y'all are bringing back some memories !!!

That would have been cool. Saw them on Jimmy Kimmel the other night. My son is a big fan and I know a lot of their stuff. Very unique.
 
Check out this link.. Arctic Monkeys at ACL festival... Can also see Big beautiful Texas sky /sunset showing throughout! lots of rain that weekend! Just been listening to them for last two months..nephew introduced me to their music, and he is big fan too!

I collect and restore to full like new working and looking condition, primarily Antique radios of the Atwater Kent Models from the 1920's..they were mostly all battery powered as there was no in home electricity yet for most folks...I've been doing this since 1979.

When I was a little kid before TV we used to get together and listen to the radio, it was a BIG console like some you have. I remember one program, really scary.

Holy crap. Buster! That is an awesome collection. I am impressed. That's what I'm talk'in about. I love those speakers.
 
I collect old Lego sets, mostly the Castle collections. I also have a couple WWII war bond posters.

Rolex and Tag Heuer watches. Don't recommned it though - I have too much money tied up in watches.

I have never heard of these until now. Went to the website and they make some really nice watches. I tried to post a pic of my mint 1974 Rolex Datejust but it would not load. I'll try again.

"Cuttin' with the chatter and spinnin' the platter" is the oft-mentioned tag line on my favorite local radio station. They do regular "vinyl is vital" segments. The actual, real DJs are true music historians. It's a listener supported gem. Even over the air vinyl has a warmth of sound that just can't be beat.
