The forum seems to have slowed down in the last couple of years. We lost some great participants who were quite active, but I can understand that after 20 years it can get tough to talk about the same old things.

So, what do you want to talk about?

You can pick more than one, and responses should be anonymous.

- Stick with just the TSP and the financial markets

- More sports, whether talking pro-sports, playing sports like golf, softball, tennis, pickleball, etc.

- More entertainment - movies, streaming, music, etc.

- *Politics - civil discourse

- *Politics - no holds barred

- Adult stuff - gambling, wine, whiskey, food, relationships, etc.

- Existentialism - getting deep into life's meaning

- Religion

- Other
(let us know in this thread)

* Just an FYI for newer members; we've tried politics at least twice and it just didn't work. It gets out of hand and some members just can't remain civil, so I'd be skeptical that it it could work again.

Don't know. Maybe something as I logged in today and for the first time I can remember, there were no post other than Market Videos. (thanks Norm)

It's the weekend. Not much to talk about. I got a half inch of rain in about 15 minutes if you want to talk about the weather. :D

We could talk about the weather. No rain here for 139 days but the temp didn't get over 110 (yet) this week.

I could start a weather thread, but it would probably turn into a climate change debate.

Speaking of 110 degrees, I did play golf this past weekend and it was 106 when we gave up with 2 holes left. Could have been worse as that was about 10 degrees below the prior week's highs.

This afternoon we were hit with a bad storm, resulting in my swimming Pool being full of leaves and limbs, all ended in the bottom of the pool!! This is no fun at all. The wind was blowing like hell, thunder and lightening. Cleanup will not be funny.sick.gifupset.gif

Shoulda finished the round.(easy for me to say)

Record broken for the number of days over 110F was in 1974. 18 days in 74 v 31 in 2023.

Political part: we shoulda bought those credits sorta offered by someone back in 2006 or so. It would be cooler today, right?

OK, sarcasm. Sure start a weather thread. Climate is and always will change. Maybe we can post facts about
our local conditions and look for pity from others. I well remember the Time, Newsweek and other articles about the new ice age. Goes to prove the media and we don't really know.

Anyone have a personal weather station that is on line? That is always interesting at least one time.

I've got one but my Davis weather link disappeared off the map. When I find it I'll post the link.

Why does TSP treat the retirees like crap? Once again they changed the release date on the issuance of money from your account. Mine started onto 11th of each month. then it moved to the 16th and now they sent a letter Friday stating the new release date is the 22nd. Fortunately I’m in need but there are other this type of action could hurt a retired person.
