weatherweenie's account talk

Not convinced the selloff is over, but am willing to take a risk that the OSM will continue to rebound.

50% G 20% C 30% I

Putting a little more in the G fund to hopefully catch the penny Friday. Also, wouldn't be too surprised to see profit taking Friday.

60% G
20% C
20% S

Been monitoring the ebbtracker and liking its results. Can't get excited about stepping into the I fund today though. Planning on staying in the G fund for another day.

While the ebbtracker got me out in time to miss the downdraft earlier this week, I still can't find the stones to go 100% I for Friday.

If we get a bad CPI tomorrow we could take out the lows.

Then again, if we get a good CPI tomorrow I think we'll be off to the races.

Sooooooo, I'm going 50% G, 25% S, 25% I for Friday.

Used the Thriftline, for the first time this morning by the side of the pool at a Disney Resort. It was pretty rough. :)

Went 30% C
35% S
35% I.

Have been away, and not payin attention to the market.

Going 50% G for the penny.

Leaving 20% C 10% S 20% I.

If there is a pullback, I figure the S would get hit hardest.

The best investment strategy available...

Luke 23:33 When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the criminals—one on his right, the other on his left. 34Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."

Luke 24:1 On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. 2They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 7'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.' " 8Then they remembered his words.

Might be a day late, but moving 40% G, 20% C,S,I.

Reality that earnings will not be double digit, and that the fed won't cut appears to be setting in.

Looks like these funds are lagging today. Hoping they play catch up tomorrow and Thursday.

Board access was slow.

Hoping the majority of the market gains hold today. If so, hoping there is some carry over to the foreign markets Monday.

So, I'll keep 20% in the I fund, and use the remaining 80% to get the G penny for Monday.

Just giving myself a bump for my lovely new avatar. :)

Also glad there will likely be no +FV, as I'm more than doubling up in the I fund, 20 to 50%, at cob.

LONDON (Reuters) - British firefighters said on Wednesday they had come to a boy's rescue after he got a toilet seat stuck on his head.
The toddler, aged two-and-a-half, and his mother walked into a fire station in Braintree, Essex, Tuesday saying the boy had put his head through a small trainer seat for the toilet and now could not remove it.
"His mum had tried to get it over his head but couldn't budge it so she walked him down here and asked us to have a look at it and we went to work and we managed to get it off in no time," firefighter Chris Cox said.
"We simply put some dish washing liquid on his head and ears and it slid off nice as pie."
He said the boy had been "very brave" and "toddled away as happy as can be" after his ordeal ended.

Nice one! I once had to have the fire department remove my arm from a cigarette machine when I was a little boy. That tricky door just wouldn't let me get my arm back out.

Great cause, and great artist/perfomer: http://www.markacrossamerica.org/

Dove award winner and Platinum selling Christian recording artist, Mark Schultz, is planning an "ACROSS AMERICA" bike ride this summer to raise support for orphans and widows.
From May 6 through early July, Mark will bicycle from California to New Hampshire stopping along the way to perform concerts and special events.

Mark's inspiration to make this 3,500-mile trek came from a visit he and his wife, Kate, made to orphanages in Mexico. In the spring of 2006, they went on a mission trip with The James Fund, a non-profit organization founded by Family Christian Stores, to meet the needs of orphans and widows in distress. Mark's own adoption drew him to explore this ministry. Seeing firsthand the harsh realities for many orphans and realizing that he could have easily been one of the boys in the orphanage, Mark wanted to make a difference. He made a decision to reach out to orphans through active support of The James Fund.

I remember paying $0.25/pack from the machines. I finally gave up smoking when I was in Vietnam - could'nt keep'em dry. One of the smartest things I could have done. Sure missed that after sex smoke for many years.

Let me see if I can slip this one in before Harvey shows up. The answer is: I don't know, I never looked. The question is to her: Do you smoke after sex?

As I approach 40yrs old, I'm hoping I'm getting wiser. Therefore, I'm not willing to chase the market here. Geez, I sound like Tom! :)

Also, I recall last May where the market popped on a Friday, sucked me in, and started to tank the following Monday.
