I got banned from a forum for saying, "PM sent". They thought I was trying to bump my thread.
You guys have it easy. :toung:
I like the jail idea. Sounds fun, but somehow I'm guessing it will get politicized. We'll need a conservative judge and a liberal judge, and the plaintiff will have to go through the jury selection process, etc. It could get complicated.
Qualifications for jury duty:

Will it be a trial by a jury of the accused peers or will Tom and the Mods represent the Supremes? Will the accused be allowed to have a lawyer/advocate to plead his case.

What about liberty and the first amendment? Barring that a member offends/slanders/insults another member, I think anyone should be able to post any "opinion".
What about the "rights" taken from those who no longer have access to the data/opionions of McDuck and Birchtree?
The ones who are truly restricted are those who no longer have access to McDuck and Birchtree posts at the expense of those who desire a Burger King MB>

Are we talking about serious infractions of the rules?
And is this supposed to be a replacement for being suspended - like Birch and McDuck are presently? Or is this just all in fun?
Im game to play but hopefully its executed more logically than the "banning" thread.
The details are up to Tom. I'm only suggesting it. Obviously the TOS are key elements.

If someone gets out of line they can only post in the Jail thread (limited posts though) until the Mod decides to spring em'. It's a hoot!

We used to carry "get out of jail" cards for real, the last place I worked. Phone numbers to call in case somebody out there in the boonies decided to "arrest" us for doing our jobs. It wasn't fun. Had a whole protocol set up, we'd agree to go "peaceable-like" but would drive to jail in our fed rigs, and decline nicely but firmly to climb in the arresting "citizen's" vehicle. fortunately that particular scenario none of us ever ended up needing to role-play for real.
