The blue is neutral where as the green means you have a positive rep. Blue is the starting point and is the absence of positive rep.

Okay, I give up, how do you view reputations left for you by others? I just learned about leaving these thanks to MrJohnRoss asking and RealMoneyIssues answering and I've been actively reading here for six months! :o This thread states to go to the "user Control Panel (CP)". I've looked and looked and can't find my CP :embarrest: and can't find any where to view these and apparently I have 120 points :D So much for Horse Sense! The good thing about this search is that I finally took the time to read the rules and guidelines. Everyone should refresh themselves with these. Thanks for the help.

Use the Settings link in the upper right hand corner of the web page or use http://www.tsptalk.com/mb/usercp.php

Scroll down until you see the 'Latest Reputation Received (120 point(s) total)' section and read what people say!

Oh, and thank you :)

you have to be logged in... look at the top right of the screen and click on "settings" .... a page should appear and you can read the notes left by others. If you want someone to know you gave them rep, be sure to put your name on it so they can return the favor when you write something they believe deserves "rep."

this hint deserves rep, so I'm expecting some from you. :D

Okay, NOW I see the "Latest Reputation Received (120 point(s) total)". Below that I see one "rep"...does that mean I have only recieved one? Not that I think I should have more, but the "120 points total" doesn't sound like one...do you get 120 points for one? Reps for you on the way!

That may be a Tom question...

I think that is true. You may have 1 "rep" but the points depend on who gave it to you. There is an algorithm that figures it out, but basically those with higher rep have more weight in their rep giving. But someone who gives rep to everyone might weaken their "weight". etc.

Thanks Tom! I guess I should stop throwing around my reps as being a Starter and now weakening them last week they probably are worth less than a Greek Bond! :worried: The one rep I have was from one of the heavy weights (Thanks Show-me!) so it makes sense that it was worth 120 points. I really should read more of the "owners manual" for this site, but I'm an engineer and therefore NEVER read the directions first. :D Actually, the best manual I ever saw (not read) was for an industrial piece of machinery and it had big bold letters on the cover that read, "IF ALL ELSE FAILS, READ THIS MANUAL".
