Tsptalk convention?

My apologies that I communicated so unclearly-it was clear to me, but evidently not to others.

+1. I feel ya.

( If you don't get what I'm saying I'll explain. alevin made a comment that was clear to her but "evidently not to others." The +1 means me too. And the "I feel ya" means the same thing happened to me. The rolleyes smiley face is to add emphasis. OK?)

i'd prefer somewhere wholesome like las vegas, i'm afraid WDC has gotten too seedy for the family entertainment crowd.

Washington D.C. this summer or fall???

I don't want to be anywhere near that city during that timeframe. I fully expect the city to be saturated by folks who want to tar and feather anyone remotely attached to a $1.6 Trillion dollar defecit. And, they won't understand that FERS employees really don't have gold plated retirements. And, they won't understand that we pay part of our medical insurance - just like they do. They will be building new rails to ship us out on:p

Nope, not D.C. for me.

Maybe CoolHand's Orlando:)

Not to mention we would be trapped on both side because the infamous 3000 would be in attendance.;)

poll.
I will start with a few locations:
Atlanta, GA
Biloxi, MS
Washington, DC
Key West, FL
Memphis, TN
Loss Wages, NV
Branson, MO
Please add yours. Thanks.
The other thing we will need is a program. Who would you like to hear speak?

Consider New York or Chicago. That way part of the event could include a tour of one of the exchanges, Wall Street, the Merc, whatever. And someone with some credibility should figure out a way for Tom to ring in the market open.

We walked through the Jolan District of Fallujah a couple weeks ago, failed to bring candy for the urchins, and got rocks thrown at us for our trouble ... I'm really not worried about Chi-town or New Jack.

Those of us with some 'experience' can walk point. Grandma, it'd be like having your own PSD (personal security detail).:cheesy:

Plus we could practice a little 'statistical analysis' at Wrigley, THTGB or whatever they call the New Shea.

Could come to Cleveland.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Great Lakes Science Center/NASA Visitors Center, Warehouse District (bars/restaurants), USS Cod (WWII submarine), Cleveland Zoo and Rainforest, Playhouse Square (theaters), University Circle (world class museums), Cleveland Indians (major league baseball team, well sort of) and down the road a bit Cedar Point (some of the best rollercoaster’s in the world).

or could come to Branson, MO, just SE of Springfield, MO.
Lots of big name shows, fun things to do, outlet shops galore; Silver Dollar City - besides the rides, etc, there is the fun of observing life in the 1800's - Shepherd of the Hills written in the area -(movie had John Wayne when a young man.) Eureka Springs AR nearby - called Little Switzerland by some d/t the hills - All in the Ozark Mountains. Beautiful scenery.
Bringing your family means there will plenty to keep them busy, entertained ..... :D

I read Shepherd of the Hills as a kid. My grandparents (s. IL) had most of the author's books in the bookcase. I read them every summer on annual vacation visit. I voted Branson before, I vote Branson again. lets do it after tornado and flood season tho.

I've been suggesting this for years!

Let's do it..., but wait until I return from Iraq in June!:D

I'm with you grandma. You too, Alevin. Centrally located so that no one has to travel the whole width of the US.

Speakers: I vote Tom(of course) and James
And if we don't find enuff entertainment, I'm sure Steady, Birchtree, Nnut, and Sugar can keep us laughing.
