Ah-h-h, the disadvantages of stereotyping hit home again, my friend!

My Democrat-voting spouse owns a gun safe full of pistols and rifles and is a crack shot with them all. He uses them to get our venison each year. We've grown our own beeves and butchered them too. I'll admit he does most of the work there. He slaughters, guts, hangs and cuts. I just wrap and label.

And then we both share cooking duties on some of the most tender alfalfa fed beef you've ever tasted.

CB, let me see if I can reconstruct this.

Kevin was trying to join in on the "CB is the best marksman on the TSP MB so we better take him out first in the paintball game" teasing. Alevin's story referred to a dumb jerk older guy (or something like that) in her throwing clod story. So he made the connection about clod throwing marksmen and that's where his comment came from.

Now, I was writing my "yet another political thread" comment at the same time and our comments got cross-threaded. And my comment was because I was thinking that I shouldn't have commented about being a Liberal who shoots her own meat instead of getting it at the supermarket. Because that was just going to make this convention thread degenerate into another "us vs. them" thread. When it's supposed to be a "let's all get together and have fun" thread.

Are we okay now?

CB, it was not my intention to call you anything-I was just telling a story about live-ammo kidstyle-and mentally connected to the paintball conversation and live ammo and your obvious skill with weapons.

I was joking about live ammo and marksmanship and who gets who first playing paintball-did not mean people to think of you as a DJOG. I really do hope you understand that. there was absolutely no intent to insult you in the least-just the opposite, I was teasing you in a friendly way.
