WHAT'S AHEAD
04/03/06
The F-Fund should rebound from here. It seems as a good place to park, after getting the penny from the G-Fund, to wait for C, S or I to trigger.

The C-Fund does not look good at all. Let's wait for a change of trend.

The S-Fund in the upper quadrant of the range. Let's wait for for the retracing to the lower line before getting back in.

The I-Fund is in the middle of a 30 point range. Let's wait for it to hit the lower line before getting back in.

g paid the penny on Friday. The S is up .25 per share for the week.
I do not follow your logic of the F fund. What did I miss?

TSP Go,

In a rate hiking environment, would not the F play be the opposite of what you would want to do? With a couple more hikes likely, how do you factor that into your system?

If you are tolerant of risk, then why choose the F fund, which has limited potential compared with S and I at this point? You are much better at this than I am, and I have a difficult time wrapping my brain around your technical analysis.

Good luck...

Vic:

We received a penny from F yesterday, we are expecting the G-Fund to pay the penny on Monday. If we get the penny on Monday it will be at least 4 more days before we see another penny from G. In the other hand the F-Fund should be entering a consolidation phase (up and down, up and down. See days 1-6 and 9-11 in the current F-chart) before the next leg down or up. I am expecting to get at least one more penny out F during this consolidation period. From a TA point of view I am expecting the next leg to be up but if it goes down it does not matter because we should see some buy signals in C, S, or I before it does.

I trust I answered your question.

Good luck

Hi SkyPilot:

You are right about the rationale of investing in F for the long run. However, I believe the F-Fund is way "oversold" and it needs to take a breather. The move to the F-Fund is a very short-term one while waiting to get back in C, S, or/and I. By no mean I would suggest to invest 100% long term in F.

IF I am reading my charts correctly, after we get the penny from G on Monday, investing in the F-Fund will be more profitable than parking in G while waiting for signals to get back in C, S an I. If we don't get the penny from G on Monday, then the move to the F-Fund would be worthless.

Have good weekend.

Thank you. I have stayed in the S fund and could not understand going
to the F fund. I enjoy your postings. Again thank you.

Things are changing fast. The C-Fund went back to postive territory.

FAQ about TSPGO! Strategies.

1.- What is the difference between the High Risk and the 5-5-10 S Rule?

A: Most Buy and sell signals in the High Risk strategy are generated by the behavior of the price in relation to trend lines. Most buy and sell signals in the 5-5-10 Rule are triggered by the behavior of the price line in relation to simple moving averages and the slope of the trend.

2.- What is the 5-5-10 S Rule?

The 5-5-10 Rule is a conservative strategy to manage a TSP account. Signals generated by the behavior of the price in relation to technical analysis parameters determine when to make an IFT. The foundation of TA is that the behavior of the price has taken into account fundamentals and other factors commonly believed determine the price of an index, stock, etc.

Some of parameters that trigger signals using the 5-5-10 S Rule are:

1) Buy signal: When the price closes above SMA-1 and SMA-2 coming from below (see chart at www.tspgo.com)

2) Buy signal: When the slope of the trend is at -0.005

3) Sell signal: When the price closes below SMA-1 coming from above.

4) Sell signal: When the slope of the trend is at 0.005

5) Sell signal: When there have been 4 positive closings (or a combination of positive and neutral) after a buy signal has been generated by the price closing above SMa-1 and SMA-2

3.- What are the High Risk strategy and the 5-5-10 Y-T-D returns?

A: 5-5-10 S Rule: 2.26% (21 IFT's).
High Risk Strategy: 7.58% (21 IFT's).
(As of 04-21-06)

4.- Where can someone find the High Risk moves?

Signals for the 5-5-10 S Rule are posted at the TSPGO_com Account thread and the signals for the High Risk are posted at the TSPGO_com account talk (this thread). All signals and charts are also posted at www.tspgo.com
