TSP Talk Silver Coins / "Rounds" (Part II)

i think tom should get on the list of creditors with the bankruptcy court and get his dies issued to him, or a cash payout on the judgment. chances are whoever or whatever new corporation assumes the equipment and whatever inventory or tools will get the dies too, and then we could reuse them for free anyways.

It was fun, I like having the coins, and I'm glad you guys want them too, but I'm not sure I want to go through the whole process again from start to finish. It was a bit of a hassle. If we can get those dies back maybe.

was there any language in the contract/purchase order/confirmation paperwork that specified ownership of the dies belongs to buy-low-sell-high inc.? do you have records of the transaction? have you contacted the bankruptcy trustee to make a claim on your real property dies that are held by the mint?

i think there were at least emails from the sales rep who handled the design of the dies and the eventual transaction that layed out the terms of purchasing and storage of the tsptalk custom dies?

even if there is no recourse against NWT mint, this info/expericience could be used as leverage with another custom mint to give tsptalk a discount on creation of new dies for an order from a new supplier.

i have so many bets out there that i am going to be out of coins at some point, probably sooner than later.

do you have any more of the first run for purchase that i could top off my diminishing stack?

Good news. I just got an email from "Marty" the NWTmont.com salesman asking if we are ready to reorder. I guess we better find out if they are still in business or if he's unemployed. :D

if you're ordering and there is more tsptalk silver rounds available, you can count me in for at least another sleeve minimum.

Cool. We'll wait until after the new year to make the order and I (or whoever wants to) can start a want list thread.

Silver is way off its recent highs but still above where we bought originally.

Great!!
I already have plenty, but would be happy to support another order.
Ask 'Marty' if the breakpoint is still 500, and how much it would be.
Also...did he ever say if you 'own' the dies? (Just in case!)
Wow....Silver TSPTalk Coins!!! AGAIN!!

PS. I can monitor this thread and keep count of the orders.

From "Marty" the NWTmint.com

It’s true that we filed a chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization on April 1[SUP]st[/SUP]. We continue to operate under the trustee. The former owner is no longer involved in the business. Our bullion trading operation is shut down, and that’s allowing us to thrive as a custom mint. Now that we’re properly capitalized, our lead times are shorter now than any time since 2011. It’s the bullion trading that was botched. Our custom minting operation is a sound business.

So, any plans to mint more?

I haven't looked into too much since that company had issues. It's probably time to buy silver since I don;t seem to have any interest in it recently. It's a slug compared to the cryptos. :)

I won't rule it out, but it may be a while.

Interesting- i missed the whole soap opera last time.

I still have my stash- I’m good for now. But you might as well get your dies and hang on to them.

From info on their website, it looks like they are now completely out of business. Too bad- Maybe we should all pitch in as Co-stockholders and finance them as a new startup again. That way we can also make good deals for our own future coin batches. :-)
