congratulations firedog, very well played. there are some learners here and so i don't feel bad about telling them this about you, targets should know how and why they are getting shot.
dog is an omaha player, this means he thinks and plays in four dimensions.
1 he calculates his hand and likelihood of his improving (this is a multi-layered calculation).
2 he calculates, from a range of info, the likely hands in the pot against him and their likelihood of improving, and how it relates to his hand, (this is also a multi-layered calculation). once you have the initial problem solved the turn and river cards math is almost instantaneous.
3 he calculates based on those indications what size bet will offer them the 'wrong' odds to call. they may win, this time, but over the long haul it is a losing proposition.
4 he messes with time! yep, he varies the time he takes to make his moves to confuse and appear as if he is thinking, when he already knows what his move is in a split second, if not before.
if no limit hold-em is common core arithmetic 2+2=4, and algebra is like whoa dude you know cards, then firedog walks in those pots and is doing real-time 4 dimensional calculus like it is tea and crumpets. then he smashes you with his sledgehammer, nicely but deliberately. very dangerous player.
brilliant play. i learned long ago that i did not have the patience for either perfect calculation or perfect play, and i do not use technology or guides. i believe my off the cuff calculations are close enough with 90% confidence and instead i use my grey matter computing resources to 'feel'. that may or may not be a succesfull strategery with this bunch. but it does work in the crowds you will play with for real money in bigger fields, and i am by far a net long winner in the stakes and games and venues i choose when i used to play for real money. this poker club is very informative, there are some very smart and slick folks out there in this crowd.
tonight was basically a firedog clinic. this gets more interesting every game.
