TSP Poker Club

I also asked about a manual/handbook for the Home Games. They said there is none, but I can ask them about anything. Lol. :)

ohhh, ask them if they like to be on top or on bottom! although i guess it don't really matter, in poker eventually everybody gets screwed, all the ways.

After last night, I know the PS algos are conspiring against me...yes, I'm hearing voices and would like my medication NOW!!!

* SEASONS *
***********************************
1st Jan to 31st March
1st Apr to 30th June
1st Jul to 30th Sept
1st Oct to 31th Dec

So our current, synced up season (very first one) will finally end on June 30th

***********************************
* TIPS *
***********************************
* Log in early in case there is a PS update.

* For PS .com version:
https://www.pokerstars.com/poker/download/

* The SUNDAY and MONDAY Tourneys are two distinct events, and have to each be resisted individually.

***********************************
* CONSENSUS: *
***********************************

* No prizes this season except bragging rights
* Custom Stats instead of PS
* Alternating Sun. and Mon. nights
* Once per week.
* Regular instead of KO format
* Stats continue from previous Room.
* Prizes (Silver, Mugs) start next season.
* Tourneys start at 8pm ET
* Ranking will be based upon the players best of 8 games per season.

NOTE: If a member believes the consensus is not correctly represented here; so state and we can re-vote.

***********************************
* UNDECIDED: *
***********************************

Tom has graciously offered to provide prizes for our tourneys.

We voted down prizes for the first season.

The next season starts July 1, 2016, and lasts until September 30, 2016. I again recommend we accept Tom's offer (assuming it is still on the table :) ), and deem the next season prize enabled.

How say you?

*************

NOTE: Decisions must be made. Where there is no consensus due to a tie vote, I recommend using the last drawn NY 3 ball lottery results. 500 and above is a pro vote; less than 500 is a con vote.

Where no one votes other than the submitter of the resolution, I recommend adoption by default.

Of course, all decisions/actions are always subject to re-vote.

ok, if you haven't logged in to pokerstars since last week, you should allow an extra 5 minutes tonight if you are playing, they did a software upgrade that will take some time to download.

apparently they have added some single-table sit-and-go 9-person knockout tournaments, and you just have to see this! they are freakin hilarious! when somebody gets knocked out it makes this bullwhip sound "whhiii-cchhhhkkkk!" and then an orange star "kapoww!" graphic like from the old batman tv show pops up. it is even funnier when somebody flops a set and the other jerkwad calls then goes runner runner flush, whhiii-cchhhkkkk! kapoww! totally entertaining, even when it happens to you. i highly recommend.

I am playing in tourney # 1541563628 right now and i wish somebody coud record this, catch my whhii-cchhkkkk bullwhip fall from grace. it is totally funny.

wish site was behaving. horrible. keeps disconnecting me without telling others, timing me out. then it claims I'm sitting out next hand when I didn't tell it t do that. and when I uncheck the box and click I'm back it ignores me. I've had a few good starter hands where I wasn't able to play them, or play the flop even if I got in on the start. arg. better not be doing that tonight. arg. it's just a game, but the aggravation is getting to me.

thought I'd be ahead of the game tonight, letting it work out the kinks early. but the kinks are eating all the stash I won a few nights ago at a cash game with south americans.

that sounds more like a problem on your end, like wifi lagging and not communicating with the poker site. what you see on the screen and clock appears to be running is on your machine, but when your connection catches back up then what you get on the site is different because things have happened while you were gone.

1, turn off, let rest, then reconnect your wifi or internet connection to give it a fresh start.

2, double check to make sure you paid your at&t bill, sometimes they slow you down if you are late.

3, quit looking at so much porn on your computer, it clogs up the memory speed and leaves artifacts of apps that slow your computing speed (watch magic mike xxl on netflix with your tv not your laptop - even watching tin cup or the bodyguard can be considered porn if you are having impure thoughts about mr. costner).

In addition to what burro says, and if all else fails, and as far as potential quick-fixes go, you could try completely powering down your system, then restarting after several seconds.

Not sure if que was talking about your PC or modem/router. But restarting modem/routers (Unplugging & plugging back in) solves most internet problems that aren't fix by restarting the PC.

Everything. In case the issue is with the network adapter etc. etc. I'd just do everything in one shot rather than doing one, then the other if the 'one' didn't 'work.' Orderly shutdown. Orderly power up. :)

Clarification:

My advice is to the non-"expert." I'd advise one to do everything to save them (and me) the hassle, trouble, and frustration that comes with the, "Well, I did that, and it's still broke." response.

I don't remotely advise anyone to take the granular steps I'd personally take if onsite.

Not much more effort/time is involved in doing everything. Besides, those things should be power cycled every once in a while anyway. :)

Video card is a system (of systems). So is the power distribution of the neighborhood (of the county... state... region ...country ...world).

Shut the system down, now! :laugh::cheesy::cheesy:

alevin, please do not shut down the power system for the entire world. at least not until after the poker game tonight.

Yes, if you're using starbucks' wifi...gotta shut'em down too.

I knew you guys'es would understand. :D

does anybody want to play a warm up sit and go for $1000, the knockout kind? you will love the sound effects and graphics i promise. if so, sit down at the ring table in the poker club and we can coordinate buyins.
