congrats to userque tonight. For the record tho, you didn't do anything like what you told cougar to do!:cheesy:

I guess whatever simulation you did against me did some good . Guess i better check out the video

If there is one thing I've learned it's this.....Poker is a lot like fishing - there sure are a whole lot of poker stories being told. :cheesy:

4 mins. that's all I needed.

And, I did go hard on you. Re-raising...all ins...etc. Do I need to post another video?

I shouldn't have to say this to an experienced poker player. But the advice you give someone when they are first learning won't be the same techniques used by a more advanced person. Why is that not obvious?

hahaha. not any harder than she did tho. There were not many pre-flop bets, or that many all ins.

Maybe its just me, I think cougar is just as good as anyone else here. I believe she would be ranked #2 right now if yesterday's tourney counted... and that's no fluke.

I've joked about burro and the mysterious stats not showing up.

I quietly looked into it.

I'm happy to report that I believe burro's account of the situation.

these last two games count for our club, because i said they did before we played them. that does not change just because of a software or management error. i am working to get them restored.

we can track internally, it is not hard to recreate with a simple spreasheet. we know who finished in what money place. we know who went out in what order. we know who knocked who out and won each game. we know how many players get how many club standing points get divied up to how many players in a six-handed game (tonight) from previous 6 man game.

only variable is who gets how many club points for 8-man game (sunday feb 21). at some point we will find out. somebody track the data we know. i don't have time to make a spreadsheet anytime soon.

but those games count or my name ain't honest burro. i respect the game too much to ever fool with that. there will be no tricks in my games or they won't be my games.

During my lunch break I tried to search for their equation but everything i found on their site didn't seem to match. In the 6 and 7 people games, the total points matched the number of players. Not sure how to divy it up amongst 1st and 2nd, and potentially 3rd tho.

at some point we will play another tourney that ends up with 8 entrants. if nothing else we will find out that way. if the true points from the real game can't be restored, we can make a dummy season tourney named something different and get 8 to sit down and rapidly lose in succession to see how many and what places get points and adjust our spreadsheet internally. there are many ways to skin cats. but in tsp poker club we skin them honestly.

those games count.

just did a search for club points, and found that what I said is true, the total number of points will be how many people are in the tournament. Except I guess when there are 4 or less. or maybe 5 or less. Top 1/3rd seem to get points. Not sure if in an 8 person game, its rounded up to 3 people, or truncated down to 2. I'd guess 3 people.
