I think Sunday evenings are a pretty good time to catch people at home and able to play... But with that said, I could be available anytime outside work hours (EST) if it's a once a month game... Thursday evenings would be the second day / time that I think most would be available...
 
ok, firedog has signed up and been accepted in the club. the poker site has accepted the name "TSP Poker Club" so maybe folks need to search for that instead of the club id sent in the email. also, the email should have the invitation code listed there too, but if not pm me or email and i will confirm.

this is exciting! i like sunday late afternoons or early evenings as a time too, maybe for a weekly multi-table tournament. also we could schedule a regular game on thurday evenings, those are both good times for me.

if you want into the club just pm with an email address and i will get you the signup info.
 
ok, this is good. tsptalk and k0nkuzh0n are also signed up, that is 4 members of the club on the poker site.

i scheduled a tournament for sunday 8:00 pm ET, but that is entirely flexible.

i am going to be rich!
 
i am going to leave the sunday night tournament scheduled for 8pm as a recurring weekly thing. nobody has to play in any or all of them, but it would be nice to have a regular game with regular cast of characters. i can make time to play a single tournament sit & go on this coming monday if anybody is interested, 9 players max, me and k0nkuzh0n are up for it.

keep the ideas and time proposals coming, we will find something that works good for most eventually.
 
some random poker tips:

i would recommend that anybody who has not played poker on the internet ever or even in a while, should log in and create their account early. take your free 1000 play money chips and go lose it in a sit & go tournament or ring game. and then do that about 6 or 7 more times. you can buy in to a game with less chips than the fee and request a reload. but you can only do that about once per hour.

this might get you familiar with silly things like the 'puck', small and big blinds, the flow of the game, and how often dumbforks will draw out on you. the strategery is not to win every hand you should, that will never happen, but to win on average about the percentage of hands you should over the long run. get your chips in good, and then the rest will take care of itself.

also, do not use your secret password for your credit cards or ancestry.com as your poker room key.

bonus tip: poker is game of half math and half lies. get used to it.

bonus bonus tip: there is no love in poker, only chips, everything is fair game.

(Normally, I don't do this sort of thing...but for the pre-game chest beating)

LOL...just wanted to fill everyone in. Buy-in was $1,000 (chips). burro was felted twice (thrice? I lost count); I'm at $13,900.

I'm about to take my winnings and go home now. Thanks for the chips, mostly vicariously...this time. :) LOL
