Same here, I stopped trying to play the short game a long time ago, and started to win a lot more as a result. Learned that it's usually an exercise in futility betting against something that's designed to keep going up![]()
I don't want to high jack the Tesla thread too much, but while we're on the subject; when stocks are at all time highs it's easy to convince me that buy and hold is best.
This week's video from Ciovacco Capital is very good. Normally he's all rainbows and lollipops about the market, but this week he mentions the historical risks of a buy and hold strategy, especially those 40+.
That said, I had a rough year in 2020, shorting the indices way too much, and boy does my butt hurt!
