Squalebear's Account Talk

SB,
Just got the 'CONFIDENTIAL' to be opened by addressee only!

Information from Human Resources....

said the 80 hours didn't go through...

that you don't need the hours cause you're like the president

you can do whatever you feel like doing anytime you want

you have unlimited hours to use at your decretion

and to consider the 'real needy' and not the elevated 1%

So anyway - I'm really glad the injection helped and things are better

Today's rally marks the time period which would have made me whole
on a YTD basis (if I was in and stayed there at 100%). Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr !

Oh well, the battle was lost, but not the war.

The EAFE Index closed up +0.5403%
The EFA closed up +2.8626%

I'm about to do the update of the O/D Tracker and lean toward the
belief that the Overpayment may have increased, as opposed to my
original thoughts. I'm chewing at the bit to find out. I'll be back in a
few minutes with the update.

Wednesday - March 18, 2009 :D
The "Overpayment" continues and has gone deep into its area.
This could be a sign of a Perminent Reverse. We've seen this
before and it will take time to see if that holds true. The Fund
Managers have the (I) Funders in a "not often seen" dilemma.
The EAFE needs to catch up on a YTD basis, but they still are
required to keep the YTD difference close to zero. Which side
of the O/D Tracker they do it on, doesn't matter. Stay Tuned !

Hey, SB, I'm so glad to know you're feeling better! Keepin' fingers crossed!

And I appreciate your assessment of the I Fund. I'm thinking overseas markets could look attractive if the dollar stays down in comparison to other currencies. So your daily insight is great to have.

Thanks! :)

I always get the better end of the deal, when you stop by. Thanks for
your kind thoughts and market intuition. You always make my day ! :)

Hey hey gentle Bear (I won't call you Gentle Ben, not sure you want to be associated with that name just now :suspicious:). Justa dropin to say hey and hope your evening is going well. :)

I got so caught up in typing the <1%IFT Option Thread, that I totaly
missed your Drive-By. Well, thanks for stopping by and have a Great
Day too ! "Gentle Ben" hmmmmm. TV show, Big Bearded Guy, Big Bear.
Nope, never heard of it ! (LoL).
I'm a Italian Bear, so I try to avoid
being called GuidoBear ! So Big
Ben would be just fine.

It was the most beautiful message I could imagine and the perfect way to start my morning.

It's absolutely AMAZING how wonderful these past few weeks have been. Even if this is just a RALLY in a BEAR MARKET - it's a taste of things to come and the BULL always feels wonderful.

Thanks a million for the new Thread on <1%. As we land on what I hope is the Real Bottom I'll DCA using this method on a daily basis.

Just so we're talkin about the same TV show... :) and for those who may have missed that kinder gentler TV era, bein in the Nam or something....

http://timstvshowcase.com/gentleben.html this show probably was one of the influences that steered toward my eventual professional interests-not that I ever thought about it til now

OMG ! I mixed up Gentle Ben with a different TV show. How funny is
that ! I was remembering a big burly woodsman type guy with a beard
and I thought his friend was a Bear. Can't remember the show, but he
looked like Paul Bunyon. Heck, now I'm not sure if the show even had
a Bear in it. Brain Fart ! I give up !

I bet you're thinking of "Grizzly Adams"

(I use MSN Money Portfolio to track); <1%IFT Completed

CURRENTLY OPENING BELL CHANGED TO
(G)92.82%...........(G)92.87%.-------->(G)89.00%

(S)01.03%...........(S)01.03%.-------->(S)02.00%
(.I)01.04%...........(.I)01.03%.-------->(I)02.00%

A total of 3.87% moved out of the (G) Fund and into the (4) Risk Funds.
I do this with the thought of a strong Friday to end a very strong week.

REMEMBER, THE GOAL TO BEAT THE (G) FUND DEMINISHES AS YOU GET
CLOSER TO THE END OF THE MONTH. THAT IS UNLESS YOUR GOAL IS
TO EXTEND THE TIME PERIOD BEYOND A MONTH. RETIREES WHO WISH
TO BEAT THE (G) BUT AVOID HIGH RISK MIGHT DO THIS, IN LIEU OF
PUTTING LARGE AMOUNTS AT RISK. SO EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN
GOALS WHEN IT COMES TO THIS METHOD. ;)

The (C) and (S) are like riding on a rollercoaster today.

The EAFE = +4.91% (big jump)
(F) Fund = +0.75% (big jump)

Good Luck Everyone ! :)

The (I) Fund would need to close at 12.2968 per share (+2.57%) in order
to drive the "Overpayment" back to Dead Even Zero. But the EAFE INDEX
closed up (+5.06%),,,,,,, This should be interesting because the EFA was
basically (unchanged) for the day. Update Coming.

Thursday - March 19, 2009
The "Overpayment" is NO LONGER ! With a HUGE underperformance
against the EAFE INDEX and a bit better against the EFA, the Fund
Managers allowed for a major swing back to the "Deficit" side of the
O/D Tracker. The day resulted in gains for the (I) Funders and this
is always better then a loss ! GOOD LUCK ON FRIDAY ! ;)
