My wife has the Samsung Note 1. It looks huge in her hands and a bit funny when she is on the phone, but I LOVE the screen size and brightness way more than my iPhone.

edit: just whipsawed, broke below the triangle, now running above it. interesting to see if it holds
edit again: just bounced back inside. interesting, that's why i wait for confirmation candles instead of pouncing on a trade haha, sometimes have to be careful trading the news as the initial market reaction is often the wrong one

Agreed. I hate politics. But is all we have. If we go over the cliff it's not the end of the world but stocks could take a hit. I'm surprised we aren't down more. So that's a good sign.

This is why you can't play headlines IMO. We are overbought and needing a healthy pullback anyway. This just gave folks cover to take profits.

no doubt. pullback is one thing, but when I saw S&P -45 on the futures I panicked, -3% in a day?

glad I woke up and realized it was just another down day and not -1000 pts like 2008. Actually pretty stoked this morning that we're 'only' down 100 points after the kneejerk reaction in the futures yesterday. Totally gave me flashbacks of holding MRVL through earnings, being up 8% then waking up the next morning seeing a 24% loss

I felt sick when I saw that. All things considered, being down a little over 1% today isn't that bad. I am just confused as to what has changed from yesterday when it was clear that Plan B was going to be vetoed even if it passed on the vote.

guessing some big money players wanted to be silly and it had to do more with the mayan calendar hoax than plan B :laugh:

My buy stop got triggered on SPXU and FAZ, and they just sank after that so I lost a bit today. After that, I stayed out, just kept the stuff I already had. BAC calls, and INCY, other than that, Im cash right now.

I'll go back to posting charts regularly again after the cliff is resolved. When the market is this news driven, tech analysis can probably be tossed out the window

Finally got the boom, waiting out the storm paid off. Though I'm a little concerned about the reaction to the news, which is actually sloping downward since the open. Might exit tomorrow as I think some degree of retracement is coming (though nothing major)
