Cats out of the bag and our kids and grandkids will pay the price. I feel for them.:(

Today I am tempted to make a move into stocks. My reason is simple, futures are down (885) and will test the lower bollanger band (888), which with the 200 day simple moving average (887.9) should act as some sort of support.

If it fails to hold, look out below!

Mind you I am not bullish, just looking for my one trade a month play.

I'm with you Show.

I've been watching this thing bounce roughly from 890-945 for months now, and have been too chicken to buy when it's dropping.

Today 'should' be the day when I buy in.

So far I am a day early. I almost bought in 100% but was not sure because of the deadline.

Still, 200 day simple ma is still holding and we are at the bottom of the BBand. We are oversold and volume is weak. Earnings season is getting ready to start with AA reporting first.

Both the C fund and S fund have to hold these levels or all bets are off.

I am still not bullish but the opportunity is there. I expect a weak day due to earnings season starting.

Good luck.

The head and shoulders pattern does concern me greatly but I don't think the market will be that predictable. Everybody sees it and is expecting it and leads me to not believe it whole heartily.

I am watching it.

I'm guessing today might be "whippy" action. If so, I'd think to watch out for headfakes?

'Nothing really matters ....

Anyone can see....

Nothing really matters to me. Anyway the wind blows' Queen

I looked over the AT yesterday for the first time in quite awhile and noticed your outstanding position.

My gosh, it seems like only yesterday you (and others) were way down there - SO YOU'VE DONE VERY WELL.

I remember 'The Battle of December 2007' when the Markets were crushing 99% of TSPers and General Show-me (with unlimited trades at the time) bounces in and out with +13%.

GL - and it's good to have ya back where you belong

Thanks ShowMe, this tends to be my perspective, besides there is still plently of other things to be watching for.

Good to see you back posting on the MB again, Show-Me. Hope all is going well.

I have the same thoughts on this H&S pattern.

O crap, reverse physiology. We all believe that it is too obvious so that mean it will come true!:D

As far as H&S go, I think this one has as good a chance as any to verify. We put in a solid 950 high over a 2 week period. The only chance we have at wrecking this pattern is if earnings come in hot, which is always possible whether they actually are or not!

If I do buy in 850ish or below, I will shoot for 900 and get out with a smile.

Hey, I got me one of these and they are very nice. Remember maintaining a website is work and money so help a brother out. Having a free track, market comments, charts, seasonality, opinions, videos, etc.

And did I mention the cups are very, very nice. It is my new favorite cup!

TSP Talk Travel Mugs!

We got in a new batch of stainless steel Travel Mugs. They are 16oz, stainless in and out, and have cool grippy things along the sides.

Many have asked about buying the mugs that we offer as prizes, but we have never offered them for sale before. That has changed. We now want to see one on every government employee's and military personel's desk. We won't rest until every man, woman and child is drinking out of these way cool mugs.

Get yours today!

And, for the legal stuff. I receive no commission on the sale of these cups or any other items. I am here because I like it here and I like the people.

I've got one and the workmanship is fantastic. The nonslip strips are not just glued to the Mug the plastic protrudes from inside of the cavity in between the SS liner and the SS outside surface, seems to be part of the insulation and really tough stuff. Just right for a cool one by the pool and the flies can't drop in for a drink!! Neat!:toung:

Looking for a quick exit. PPI will report this morning and I suspect it will be in line or low being last months was a blow out. CPI worries me for Wednesday and no real earnings that day. Thursday is Initial Claims, Google, IBM, HOG, NOK, JPM, etc. That worries me. Friday is BAC, C, and GE.

Thursday will be the longest I stay in.

Charts are getting to a iffy area and the Dow Trans chart is still ugly and can not break out.

I pulled the trigger and moved to the G fund. I feel good about it and can take the month off.

Transportation is not looking good as it run up to the 50 and 200 dma on its fifth positive day. It will fail as JBHT missed big time.

C fund run up to the 20 dma and looks like it has a great opportunity to pull back. Earning season always fakes me out and it will probably run up to 1000.

I am happy with my return and will get back to beekeeping and building a house.:D

I hate Kudlow on CNBC but he had a good show and he is seeing the light. Bad moon rising, no jobs, two thirds consumer driven economy.

Here is a great piece by of all people Mort Zuckerman and it was on Kudlow's show.

I highly suggest you read it.

The Economy Is Even Worse Than You Think

The average length of unemployment is higher than it's been since government began tracking the data in 1948.

Good to have outside interests, Show-Me, otherwise this market'll drive ya nnuuuts! and we can't have that now. :D

I've got a little bee in my bonnet about beginning beekeeping a year or 2 from now, just a thought for now-but I'll be talking to you when comes time assuming we're all still here. First comes garden and boosting the flowering plant base on my property, ditching the herbicides this year (except for shrub-killer for the root-sprouting chokecherry thicket I'm trying to kill off finally, next to the house), adding more manageable flowering plants in addition to veg garden. Got an old birdbath I've never used (came with house), planning on setting it up for bee-bath more than birdbath, probably this weekend. Birds no. too many house sparrows already. I want pollinators. After flower/veg garden development comes chicken-keeping (next year probably), then bees the following year if all goes according to current tentative interest. Now if I could just talk my elderly neighbor into selling adjacent vacant raggedy*ss lot and let me do something constructive with it.....unlikely but ya never know.
