Personal update.

Working on building another 1000 sqft onto house. My knee's hurt, my back hurts, my arms hurt, my feet and hands hurt, but I feel alive. The most rain I have seen in a July and August must be because I am building. LOL I have another week of AL the I can take a break and go back to work.:nuts:

No trading during this time and yes I am sorry I missed the rally. I am still holding a little TZA which is killing me but it is a little only. This rally is about over because companies can't cut much more and the consumer is tapped out.

Bring a hammer I need a roof installed. Did I mention my hands hurt?

Quick update.

Not enough time in a day! House framed and water tight. All cash, except contributions.

Economy bad for workers, my wife and I took over guardianship of a two year old and expect the 4 year old sibling in a few weeks. OMG I'm changing diapers again and using sippy cups, etc. You can't help but fall in love with a two year old they are perfect in every way. Why, why, what's that, why, what are you doing, why, why, why. LOL

Wish me luck and I'm loving it. Probably going to see much less of me here for a few more months. Now I am really under the gun to expand my house.

I miss the interaction on the mb but I will be back, give me some time.

This is why I like the people on this site so much...I'm referring to the fact that so many of you are stating that "family comes first". Considering that we are all federal employees (or retirees) and really mean it when we say "family comes first" tells a lot about the people on this site.

LOL! I know people our age who are changing diapers and using sippy cups, etc....but no two-year old is in the house! We'll miss ya, but take your time and enjoy the little ones, they grow up way too fast. Those terrible twos....omg...why, why, why, what, what, what, NO NO NO!!! :cheesy:

Employment Report Disappoints

The employment report showed mixed data in August compared to consensus expectations. One one hand, payrolls declined less than expected at -216K compared to the consensus forecast of -230K. On the other hand, the unemployment report jumped to 9.7% after the consensus forecast a more moderate 9.5%.

The "real" unemployment rate, all unemployed, underemployed, and discouraged workers, ticked up 0.5 percentage points to 16.8%.

Absolutely no stress, I love her dearly. She was sick last night and puked around 3, poor thing. Potty training is going well!

Got up early to work on my dear wifes dream wrap around porch that goes around 64 feet of the house. Was having coffee while trying to read and post some. There were some other things I wanted to post but could not find the time. I'm going to keep on trying.

Just here long enough to sip a cup of Joe and back to the porch. Need to get my ass in gear today so I can get some shingles on, then I need to cut fire wood. To bad we country folk could not get that tax credit years ago for the "bio mass furnaces" lol.

I envy you both. I was raised a country boy and will be back there one day! The job just wont allow me to do this but I only have about 10 years left (268 pay periods but who's counting:cheesy. Working on a wrap around porch and fire wood stock sound like heaven to me!

Show-me, congrats on the little one(s) and I hope that she feels better soon.

One thought just hit me, have you checked into a forestry management plan? If not, check with your states conservation department. The fed gov't funds forestry programs in each state where you set up a management plan to restore/recover native trees and you get paid to do it! A buddy of mine did it here in Illinois and (on a 10 year plan) is getting $600 and change a year for his 20 acres (12 of timber).

Just an idea for you.
