Congressional Reform Act of 2010

1. Term Limits.

12 years only, one of the possible options below..

A. Two Six-year Senate terms
B. Six Two-year House terms
C. One Six-year Senate term and three Two-Year House terms

2. No Tenure / No Pension.

A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.

3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people.

4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

8. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/11.

The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen. Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

Which health care system is this, I've never seen a generic American health care system. Each employer is different. Since the Federal Government is the employer in this case, it is the same health care system as the American people....you are stuck (or gifted) with whatever insurance your employer can get. The rest I agree with BTW.

If one follows a particular stock trading concept, one should do what that particular stock trading concept indicates, otherwise one is cast into the stormy sea of uncertainty. It never ceases to amaze me how I refuse to follow the indicators and delude myself into thinking that I have somehow acquired some divine insight into the future of stocks and know what I am doing. What a fool I be!!!:(

My end of year report: I was in the L2020 fund all year (except the first trading day when it made a big gain :( My end of year return was -0.09%. Guess I fell about in the middle of the range of returns: 34.42% to - 37.58%. What's next???

I have only run one 10K back in 07. I ran a 53:49. I mainly run 5Ks (PR 23:48) and an occasional half marathon (PR 1:51).

My times were similar to yours at those distances. But that was from mid-1970s through 2006. Nov I only run to finish.

I enjoy your posts. I hate downtrends. Please post more often.

Jumping back into the fray L 2020 100%. Seem to be in a somewhat upward movement. That is part of a bigger downward tilt. That is contained in a even larger upward trend. etc.....

Well I think I will mosey on over to the Lilypad for a spell. Things look like they might get a little rough for a bit and I don't think the PPT folks will be able to contain it. I could be wrong! 100% G.

In a vain attempt to increase my view numbers (why I am not sure) I have decided to post more often. Maybe offer bits of wit or wisdom or more likely stupid drivel.

There are 10 types of people:
- those who can read binary and
- those who can't

Well it turns out my wit? from yesterday had already made the rounds on the board and everywhere else I suppose, that's what I get for living in Arkansas. So not having any wisdom to share today, I will fall back to stupid drivel. Useless fact of today: The vignette on the reverse of the five-dollar note depicts a likeness of the front of the Lincoln Memorial as it appeared in 1922 when it was first dedicated. At that time, there were only 48 states that made up the United States of America. The names of 26 states were engraved on the front of the Memorial. This is why only the names of 26 states appear in the vignette on the reverse of the five-dollar note. In the upper frieze of the façade in the vignette the states are from left to right: Arkansas, Michigan, Florida, Texas, Iowa, Wisconsin, California, Minnesota, Oregon, Kansas, West Virginia, Nevada, Nebraska, Colorado, and North Dakota. In the lower frieze from left to right the names of the states are: Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, Carolina, Hampshire, Virginia and New York.
Please feel free to use this information in your investment decisions. It can't hurt.

Folks are migrating back into stocks at weeks end expecting a positive move up next week. Maybe this downturn has run its course.....maybe not. The Shadow knows but he hasn't posted on here in a while. I suppose fibonacci retracement has gone the way of daily IFTs, those were the days.
