Jobs report means continued low interest rates, some skeptics selling, I'm buying.
Buy! Buy! Buy!

I really like John Oliver.
And, while I have come to some of the same conclusions about the lack of consumer information as to who is "advising" them, incentives, and especially annuities, I think he fails to give decent advice on this.
While "fiduciaries" are a good start, there has to be some way that a lay person can review credentials, ask the right questions, and obtain disclosures to ensure that the person working for them is actually working for them.
The smoke and mirrors involved in the world of investments and financial services really obfuscate almost everything and lead to this healthy skepticism.
Who are the legitimate folks that a person can hire to represent their interests, and what are the safeguards and oversight involved? Seems like a straightforward question, but is there an answer that is helpful?
What do the TSPT experts say?

#593 on the AT (YTD, non premium, full year only) @ 4.53%.
In the black!
Your Personal Investment Performance (PIP) for the past 12 months ending 06/30/2016 is 0.71%.
July has been a good month. What a wacky year.

Note to self: check out the poker league home games (pokerstars) for tsptalk.

I may move more back to G fund if I can catch a bump.

Your Personal Investment Performance (PIP) for the past 12 months ending 07/31/2016 is 3.85%.
Today's investor to watch is Tailgate. After an impressive 2015 where s/he made 18.95%, this year s/he is ranked #15 with 16.1% profit. The only top 15 on the non-premium AT with a big positive gain in 2015 also.
Brinky, aeroconfigs, and ShadowHawk are the other Top 50 today with >10% 2015 profit. These are strange times for sure.

I'm rat-holing a bit of profit today myself with an IFT.

Let's take a look at some of the familiar names:
Today Rogue is #641 on the aforementioned AT with a 5.7% ytd gain.
sgtbriangreen* is #804 with 3.4% ytd.
Skypilot is #279 at 8.46% ytd, 50% C and 50% S with no IFTs all year so far.
Whipsaw is #733 @ 4.47%. We know Whip is a strong finisher who gained almost 14% in 2015. Today, Whip is 100% G fund.
Burrocrat is #880 today, @ 2.37% and 100% in G fund. 4 IFTs
MrJohnRoss is #1134 with -0.31% ytd and 100% G today. 5 IFTs
The everactive JPCavin is at #524; she has made 6.51% ytd and is 100% G fund. 8 IFTs.

Accd'g to Autotracker, I made 7.39% in 2016 YTD through 12/30/16. We know that's a weird number, depending on timing of the gains and losses.
Ready for '17? Who the hell knows? It's going to be another weird year for sure, and I expect increased volatility. Not for the faint of heart.

Late Morning IFT.
