RealMoneyIssues' Account Talk

RMI,

It's obviously time for some of your favorite Birchtree Sentiment: buy, buy, buy. Now is the time to back up your truck and load up with the I fund.

I am just going to take my losses, stop trading for awhile, never short the market, and find a re-hab for trading losers...

Have a great day!

RMI,

I knew you'd surface eventually. Simply genuflect to the bull and get back in the game. Trying to invest on a rational basis often doesn't work. That's why I'm a contrarian. Disconnects between the economy and the stock market like the one we're seeing can go on for years. You'll recover and regain your stride. Many of us have hoof tracks on our backs as dues earned in the arena.

Hoof marks!?!? I think I got stomped on and branded a few years ago!

that's what the member's account talk forum is for. hello my name is burrocrat and i can't control the market, but i don't have to let the market control me.

it's all just a digital construct where bits and bytes representing wealth flash around the ether at frightening speeds, often never to be seen again, but the lights are sure pretty when they blink red and green like that. ooh, aah. i've felt a lot freer since i realized i won't really care what flavor the alpo is when i'm sitting in my hoveround by the window peeing myself in the golden years.

you sure are an excitable fellow sometimes. we love you man.

I irrationally took the red pill and I am still waiting to see "how deep the rabbit whole goes"

Perhaps I missed it, what was the issue?

rmi was freaking out again because the market doesn't seem to react to normal confidence intervals, like it has a collective mind of its own or something, go figure.

For years now I've been writing a book titled "Everything I know about Women" I'm still on page one, the same can be said for the markets....

what would you do with a combibar?

so basically that guy was saying that two fiftyiths of a combibar would buy me exactly one hour with virtually any hooker in any big city in the world even if the fed tried to stiff the bill? and by virtue of association them gals either work twice as hard or else retain some intrinsic value in times of trouble far into the future?

oh hell yeah, i'm all over that. prep this bernanke! it's a brave new world.

what would you do with a combibar?
can't you just see those little yellow squares getting caught & stuck down in the joints of the cash register drawers...
- lost in the recesses of your wallet and then needing a nutcracker pick to get it pulled out...
-course he didn't mention just which of those `anywhere' merchants would be wanting them...
BUT - other than the purchasing price - would take less storage than 1K of silver quarters....;)
