I guess so...since we don't have any opportunity to make a move until COB tomorrow I guess that makes sense.

Did you buy anymore TNA today with J Trader's signal being another buy? I finally got my Roth IRA moved into OptionsHouse from USAA. It is all in cash now, but I have more to play with now :nuts:. I started with 3,000 in my individual account with OH and that TNA has hurt me a little. I bought some FE shares with my individual account which are slightly positive and I have a dividend coming my way as well

I'm learning about options as well by watching the webinars OptionsHouse has in their archives...maybe one day I will know more about this stuff...until then maybe I will get to lose more money as I learn...YAY!

Ouch. I can tell you that I won't be touching options for quite some time, if ever. I just want to know what all of the tools in my toolbox do and I still have a lot of research to do on many things.

Again, no time to discuss much as life, like the markets, got away from me.

I said for a few days that "I am still holding ETF longs hoping that we see a dead cat bounce or a oversold rally or a short covering rally or some kind of RALLY!!!" and although I am still waiting for this to hope for an even (or less loss) point to get out of my longs as I think the markets are heading down further... I will probably hold out my longs vice taking more of a loss... I have done poorly this year and my emotions have taken their tolls on my common sense.

I am going to try and post this chart daily as I can, but please understand that if it isn't posted, it isn't because I don't want to...

I did remove Ken's signals by his request and went ahead and added a second non-TSP, short-term signal from J-Trader. If anyone has problems with the data or signals, please use PM as I may not have time to look at the forums to find out. Thanks

No change in the signal since the only change was Top5/Top10/Sentiment and with a combined 7% rise just didn't make it past the buy point. I wonder if this will change by the end of the week because the more data I have, the more this chart (weighting and all) do seem to be a contrarian indication... Is it because it is similar to sentiment? weird :blink:

My long ETFs are thankful for a bounce, but unless some REALLY good news hits, I still don't think I will be able to recover fully from my $55 entry point on TNA. I might get to $50-51, but still taking a $4 shave isn't any fun. I will try to make up for it using TZA, but I already have a ton to make up for from the first 4 months of this year...

I'm a rookie here just trying to learn how to better control my destiny and have been formulating simple systems of my own to better do so. Have you been making trades using your system or just using it as a guide for your actual trading? There are a lot of systems out there but I think sometimes people still try to use their intuition and I'm curious how you use yours. I've found this to be the most difficult for me, I only just committed to use my system since my intuition has cost me.

Also, I've noticed that you're tracking quite a few systems and I was curious what your thoughts are on why you've chosen to track those particular systems? I see the weighting system but what I'd be worried about is that some systems may counter-act others. Something I've noticed when I was trying to assemble my own systems was that many times using too many inputs would give me bad signals just because the inputs would counter-act each other. For instance, for the past couple weeks it looks like the LMBF and 10-M SMA systems have acted contrary to each other. I realize your weighting system minimizes their effect but have you considered that maybe some of the user systems you're tracking may use indicators that counter each other at important times. I don't mean this to be critical, the chart is great! It's good to keep track of it all, I check it myself almost daily. But I think a system based on buy/sells of multiple systems that don't necessarily depend on the same indicators can be confused easily. I think if you knew what the other systems depended on, it would be more beneficial to figure out which signal is best signal for right now. So rather than a fixed weighting system, I guess I'm thinking more of a weighting system that depends on signal strength. What do you think?

Maybe he should have been paying better attention to what his son was doing before he jumped out. If he didn't have it in park that means he left it in Drive. Endangering others. Sounds like an irresponsible dad that got real lucky, with his children and the law. My money says he was on the phone when the kid jumped out.
