Didn't get this done until this morning as prices came out late last night... I need to get to work.

Oddly, the signal barely hit a buy only because Seasonality jumped 20%... Looking at futures this morning, I would have to say that this doesn't look like a good call.

Still waiting for the big jump PermaBull has promised so I can make up for the huge losses I took being a bear.

Not sure if this still applies to you or not, :), but, TVIX is up 2 dollars in just as many days. Trust me that I'm knocking on wood as I type this; still gotta ways to go before I'll consider selling it.

Fran, It took me a little bit to find what you were talking about. I kept searching the TSPTalk site and then realized it was the TSP website. :embarrest: The gain/lost column does show what you have gained or lost from the period stated at the top, 1/1/12 to 2/9/12.

Well, we are right back to were we were COB on Thursday and all I can see is more strength in the market. Friday was news driven and although many thought that we were heading down further, the market only taught them a lesson...

I see that the majority of signals are on the long side and that makes sense considering the strength shown by this market. I will probably be playing around with the weights again after I get done with these last two weeks of my Masters classes... not enough time to mess with it right now. I seen to think we need to move the weights down on long term systems and up on medium term. I also wonder if I shouldn't add market breadth or volume into the calculation as those can greatly affect how the market acts/reacts to outside influences... just a thought or two.

Still waiting to hit 1400 on the S&P !!

Well, it was going to be a down day, but good for us that some news came out towards the end of the day that convinced some more Bulls to buy into the market. Such a good finish usually means more tomorrow. There is a lot of economic reports coming out over the next few days AND don't forget that it is Options Expiration Week and the Bears will try to take advantage of the volatility. I can see from the late day action that the Bears are not having any of it...

So, as I said earlier... Nearly everyone is on a buy (even DAW tried to put his system on a buy) or looking for an entry... so we are "SPX-1400 or Bust" !!

Postscript: While I was posting this, S&P mini futures (/ES) popped 10 points and settled at their most recent high around 1354. Tomorrow could be interesting with a gap up and then more Bulls pile on. We could see 1400 before my previous prediction of the week of March 12th !!!

Very, very interesting day. I noticed Seasonality is at 33% for tomorrow AND MrJohnRoss has decided to move to the sidelines. I would have to think that if one more system goes short or safe, then it would probably be a very good time to step aside. The market could use a short pause to let the bulls and bears come to grips with their accounts before we begin heading back up. I am not sure if we will see more downside, nor how far that will be if we do. What I do see is a lot of downside pressure and some people coming to the realization that this particular up move probably won't go on forever.

Rest, relax, and come back in a few days to push back up...
