rcknfrewld's account talk

Another Earth Day has come and gone again...the activists want all of us to celebrate the day by conserving as much energy as possible...I on the other hand celebrate the day by using as much energy as possible...turned all my lights and appliances on on my way out to work

I just got off the OT list...first time off it ever 7 yrs...read your rant story....how bout..."you can keep the bills, I don't want 'em."
"stay dry out there"......."is it hot enough for you"

I'm not on the ODL, always been on WA only. We were mando'd to work, because there were only 8 of us to carry 13 routes. I could have pulled the contract card and said I was only working 10 hrs, but I'm a team player and will pitch in to get the job done. Besides, the other 7 were just as exhausted as I was, so we just put the headlamps on, downed the 5 hour energy drinks and lived up to the postal motto...."through, wind, snow, rain and lazy bastard coworkers who call in sick...blah, blah, blah.."

It's all good. This is my long weekend, so I'm enjoying a good rest at the beach. Back to my warm and fuzzy self.

Speaking of slugs and slackers...what happened to the golf pools you were going run on the board?

If, I mean, when, i visit your island, I will look you up, I have lots of free time now..........when I touch down I will post you for the coordinates...I'll buy the first round...a round trip ticket might be pricey so I might have to make it one way...

I worked the first quarter with no days off, 10,11, hour days for 3 months...six days a week...I felt like I was a roadie for Pearl Jam with no perks...the roses are getting my attention now, they "smell" glorious..

I am fully invested in the I fund and have 15 % going there every paycheck...I am doing the opposite of what I think I should do...hopefully I'll get a sore arm patting myself on the back 30 years from now...
I want to be oblivious to what the market is doing on a daily basis...the problem is I really enjoy the tsptalk site...I'll have to carefully visit the site for the golf majors and try to avoid seeing market talk....like someone avoiding the score of the football game they tvod. I figure if the market plunges I'm not going to sell and lock in losses, I'll just keep on dcaing all the way
down and all the way up....if the market soars well then I guess I'll deal with that
No more Squawk, Doomberg, Kudlow...let me just take one last peek at the foreign markets...nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooooo

you should consider buying a tsptalk mug and going on a road trip for a day or two or week. and take photos of it in unique and unusual places. race you to mt. rushmore?

it will help you unfocus your mind off how bad the portfolio is taking a whooping.

i've been in 'g' all year and still need to see another 5% cut off bernanke's top before i jump in. but at least i ain't losing money to anything. except inflation. which doesn't exist. yet.

rcknfrewld I have been buying I. Fund 50percent for a long time also. I feel like prices are low but eventually things will turn around. I'm eligible to retire in less than a year but don't plan on using tsp I'm CSRS. I hope to let it ride and pick up some gains later. Hohhot really don't know what I'm doing just going on what I learner end here and gut feeling. Blood luck to you n me.

I lasted one loop today before I started getting the shakes...had to take a glance on how the markets opened...keep on rcknifund

Is it true that CSRS folks are smarter then FERS? For the record I retired FERS.:suspicious:
No, they just got there first and a lot of us didn't get the choice. Remember the change was to help us. You can have a better retirement than them but you have to use your own money.:( Invest the max to TSP, max the amount you can put in after you turn 50 years old and trade well. Too bad during your career you have too many bills to pay to do that but that's the theory they presented. What you really want to do is make your TSP the longest leg in your retirement and you should be fine.

don't tell da birchman but I sold today for another 1% + gain...im looking for an entry around 15.00 for the I fund come August...say what...yeah...I have been biding my time....market top buying scares me...a healthy correction of 30% would get me back in the I fund....I still see 30.00 a share in my 8 ball.

A 10% correction comes around every once each 2 years, and we can count on three consolidations of 5% over that same period. You'll be waiting a very long time for a $15 price on the I fund. I believe Japan has more surprises to come.

hey konakathy...ironically I do plan on visiting Hawaii this year...i'm talking my parents into spending some of their nest egg...they haven't gone on a vacation in 15 years...they deserve one and so do i...my son will love it...it will put Florida to shame...can't wait...i'm packing my clubs and hopefully a uke on the way back....Mr. Eddie Vedder has been known to vacation there...who knows....i'll settle for Boom though

hey bcrat our low information voter outreach is on pause now...the market futures are down and hopefully plummeting...I hope Tom is right in his '87 comparison...lets go down 15% and then another 15%...we will pounce on those prices like my cat pearl does on golf balls that I chip around...ferdinand's got nothing on me essay?...cya bcrat...peace out...mug...keep it real holmes...

yeah the woods go through my net and leave dimples on the walls...can't go past an 8 iron...I use balatas...much softer on pearls paws when she motumbos my flopalopalis 64 deg

no dumbas, you're doing it wrong. don't hit the balls with a wood, hit the cat. i've yet to see one go through the net or leave a dimple in the wall, and i was trying really hard.
