Whew, crazy game. Glad the Ravens came out on top! Probably one of the wildest games I've ever seen. Pretty rare I stay up that late, but I sure am glad I did.

Yep!!! A break finally went the Ravens way. It's been a rough season but you gotta root for the home team, no matter what. Poor Brownies though. Them and the Detroit Lions are the only two teams to never make it to a Super bowl.

whack! anybody long took a pretty good hit today. i hate it when that happens. it seems the market likes it when france gets attacked, but not so much us.

anyways, i want to thank you because i hate the lions and love to see them get crushed, but i haven't watched a thursday night football game for a few weeks because didn't they used to be on network tv at the start of the season but now on nfl network?

i just have basic cable and for a while now i thought i am not privileged enough to see the elite thursday game, but it turns out they play it on a channel i have so that is good, and free, or at least not any more than i already pay.

so i am going to watch the game too, last weekend's dishes can wait. thanks for the tip cuz.

Thought long and hard today about running to the G Fund but decided to stay the course. It seems to me that trends have been reversed the last few weeks. Following the Lunar Trading System, red periods have been gainers and green periods have been losers. Tom's Seasonality Chart seems to lose on the green days and gain on the red days. Even JTH's blog for early December says positive but as you know so far we are way down for the month.

Just like my signature block says "The time of maximum pessimism is the best time to buy and the time of maximum optimism is the best time to sell". I'm guessing with all this panic selling over Janet Yellen raising interest rates (blood in the streets) that over the weekend, the markets digest the news and next week we have a decent rebound. Yep it's a gamble, but at this point I have resigned myself to 2015 being a losing year. Perhaps going against all common sense and ignoring what all the experts say is the ticket back to prosperity. If not it's just another loss in a bad year.

With that said, just call me Ironballs...~:nuts:

Well the S Fund ended up with a 1.10% gain today and finished the week -1.29%. That's much better than the -2.39% we were down as of COB yesterday. Still a loss is a loss but it could have been much worse. Now let's hope the market remains happy about the rate hike and the jobs report next week so we can get December into the black.

Well it looks like we are in for another big loser unless this is just a tease and Turn Around Tuesday makes an appearance. That's just wishful thinking on my part.

As for this latest trade, as of COB yesterday I am down 2.65% and down 5.60% year to date.
I really hate being in, but if I bail, I've locked in another big loss. I guess all I can do at this point is hang in and ride it to the bottom. Hopefully we are close to that. I guess the best I can hope for is to get some back from Santa...

Well this latest trade has been to say the least a disaster. I am currently sitting at-7.04%. With that type of return, obviously there is something wrong with mystrategy. Looking at my daily returns, the last time I was in positiveterritory was August 20[SUP]th[/SUP], just prior to the big drop. Since then, Iwas able to get back to -2.77% which occurred on December 1[SUP]st[/SUP], butnow find myself at the lowest level of the year.


I think itis time to re-evaluate my strategy to come up with better entry and exitpoints, or scrap the whole plan and follow the ark. Perhaps it is time toconcede that I suck at this.


As for whatto do now, I am currently 100% investing in the S Fund (go figure, it’s theworst performer for December. So much for seasonality). Burro thinks anotherbig drop is still to come. I still have 2 IFT’s left, so I could get out nowand re-enter after the FOMC. Of course, the whole situation with oil has thrownanother monkey wrench into the frey and puts the possibility of a nice SantaRally in question.


Decisions,decisions…given the circumstance what would the burro do, bail and stop thebleeding or ride it out?
