Greetings
Here's a quick peek into December's seasonal statistics.
From 63-Years Q4 ranks as the best of the four quarters while December ranks in the middle (the best win ratio but lower average-of-gains).
When November closed the month up (43 of 60 times), December closed up 29 of 43 times, giving us a 67% win ratio based on the November close.
When the 1st trading day of December closed up (28 of 63 times), December closed up 24 of 28 times giving us an 86% win ratio.
When the performance of the first 3-trading days closed up (34 of 63 times), December closed up 23 of 34 times giving us a 68% win ratio.

Looking out into the short-medium timeframe:
Of the most recent 21-years, next week’s holiday shows a float up into Thanksgiving and a drop down after. The post holiday Friday & Monday have low win ratios.

Note: Trading days do not accurately reflect any potential holiday bias since they don’t always fall within the same day of the week.
For Sellers the last 4 of 5 days of November we see strength. For buyers there is some weakness shown on December’s trading days 1-4. December will have 20 trading days with a holiday falling on a Monday.

That’s it, I’m trying to keep these blogs shorter, take care and have a great rest of your month.
