Post Your "12-Month Personal Rate of Return"

Why don't you get on the AutoTracker and help others achieve your good fortune? ;)
I am on the Tracker, way down near the bottom. I joined in mid May and I missed the gains at the end of June because I made a dumb second IFT. I was able to avoid the big drops in May and June. I almost always move between the S and F funds.

JP,

MarkC is on the AutoTracker as of May 19, 2011. Thus, the AutoTracker is not showing his full investment growth YTD. He has had only about 2 months of trackable investing and is currently at 664 - which is an area I don't expect him to reside in for very long:p. I think he will rise toward the top.

We shall see...

54.05% current 12 month PRR. I must have had a bad month in June 2010, because I was at 48.11% last month and I was about even in June 2011.

A very enjoyable and somewhat consistent 22.64%

Hopefully, I can avoid the next mid-year correction. Things will be very good if I am lucky enough to catch our current gains and avoid a big chunk of the next summer correction. August through September are usually lousy.

Things would have been different if the 12 Month IRR was available in 2008:o

CIV acct = 12-Month Personal Rate of Return: 51.69%
MIL acct = 12-Month Personal Rate of Return: 52.48%
With returns like that, you should start a pay service so peope will pay you to tell them when to move their money!

I also have two accounts like you, but I don't mirror them, I balance them. I will hopefully meet my numbers by August if everything works out in Europe this time around....Congrats on your progress and feel free to share your trades ANYTIME!

Come back more often!

I have 2 accounts, 1 military and 1 civilian. I have "mirrored" the IFT's between the two but the 12 mo returns are slightly different, not sure why???

CIV acct = 12-Month Personal Rate of Return: 51.69%
MIL acct = 12-Month Personal Rate of Return: 52.48%

I didn't do anything special to achieve the returns. 100% of this is from moves in and out of the "S" fund only. I was very fortunate in the timing of some of my moves much like the recent rally I was able to capitalize on. More than anything I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I am currently still 100% "S".

Like I said, I'm not a regular on here but the results are from info gleaned from this site and the regular posters which are far more market savvy then me........ So, thanks to all of you for that :)

I was just kinda proud of myself more than anything and had nobody to "show" it to :embarrest:
Post it, plus if you know how you did it we would love to hear your strategy....I hate to sound like the little old lady in Poltergeist but,"All are welcome!"

Can't wait to see those numbers, and if your coworkers don't care, your friends here will!

Sooooo, I rarely........ o.k, never post on here but am a frequent lurker. I'm no financial advisor or even very maket savvy for that matter. I've tried to talk TSP with co-workers but most don't have a clue about how much they have or even what fund they are invested in. I've been doing pretty well this year though I'm not on the auto-tracker. I've preferred to use the spreadsheet and do it on my own. I saw this thread and then looked at my 12 mo return before and after the June update and was quite surprised. I don't want to be the guy that shows up out of nowhere to show how terrific he is and then disappear. I know that type of behavior in general is usually not well-received or believable on message boards. I wanted to post my 12 mo return on this thread but I'm still not sure if I should or just let it go. I was just kinda proud of myself more than anything and had nobody to "show" it to :embarrest:

Tracker YTD 7.40%

Personal YTD 9.21%

TSP 12 month PRR 26.89%

I should never tried to beat my personal with tracker IFT into I....But something seemed to take over my self control!

Quick question guys, if you are drawing at a 4% rate and are making about an 8% gain, will it show only a 4% 12 month return?

32.74% holding 48% C and 48% I and 2% S

DCA = 100% C fund

177 days and a wake up left until I escape the MATRIX
