I was asleep at the wheel for my first 11 years of contributing. Road the C Fund down through 2008/2009 and back up through 2010 and first half of 2011. I finally woke up when Congress played their shutdown game in July and moved 100% to the G Fund in the knick of time...(S&P @ 1337). I have been reading this site, Morningstar and Bloomburg everyday since then and have jumped in and out a couple of times with minimal success (always on the wrong side of the fence!). Thank you very much to all of you that share your thoughts and wisedom. I have learned a lot in the past five months and hopefully will make smart choices moving forward. Thanks again and Merry Christmas!

Thanks for the welcome. Happy to find a site devoted to growing your TSP account. Still trying to find my way around though.

WTG Amigo! How about some insight as to your distribution between all funds this past year, and are you by chanch doing over 50 y/o catchup?

Wow, that was his first post... Now THAT is some serious lurking...

Welcome iGlide and I hope to see some more posts from you to learn how you pulled off such a fantastic return. Congrats again.

Took a little hit this month but turned out OK, probably since I'm still contributing and got to purchase lower prices along the way (DCA)

I will be eligible on August 4, 2014 but that don't mean I'll be able. The date in my sig is when my wife becomes eligible. I figure I can make an extra 2 years and we can go out together. :)

Oh yeah...nice pip.

I had to laugh when I clicked on your link, Kevin! VERY clever. Maybe I will do the same...although I don't think I can last as long as you! I am eligible next year, but probably will stay till 2016 when my youngest daughter graduates from college.
