Sorry for all of the issues this morning. Everything seemed to be working fine last night after the upgrade, and this morning everything went blank. Well, some pages.

Still an ongoing issue and I apologize for anymore downtime we may experience.

the like function is cool and all, but the feature i miss the most of the top righthand area that shows the most recent posts. we getting that back eventually? no rush, as an IT guy i know how much of a hassle it is to deal with people nonstop asking the same questions

ok it's back. but whenever i click on a thread i keep going to the oldest posts first and have to click on page 1 to get to the most recent posts

Can I change the order of posts?

You have a choice over how you view threads. When you're in a thread, look at the top bar. On the right hand side you'll see 'Display Mode'. Click on this and it lets you change how posts are ordered.
You have three choices:

Linear Mode - posts are displayed chronologically, usually from oldest to newest. Posts are shown in a flat mode so that many posts can be viewed simultaneously. It is possible to change the ordering by changing your preferences in the User CP

Threaded Mode - a tree is shown along with every post. This shows you the relationship each post has to the others. It's easy to see who responded to whom. Only one post is shown at a time. By clicking on a single post in the post tree, the page will show that post and all posts made in response to it.

Hybrid Mode - This is a mixture of the linear and threaded modes. The post tree is displayed as in the threaded mode, but many posts are shown at the same time as in the linear modes.

I tried changing each mode and going to the User CP. The thread is still posting oldest to newest.

Thanks. I had to display errors so I can narrow down the problems. If they continue to be reported by everyone, perhaps we'll clean out this site that become a monster over the years.

By the way, I am going to wait until the weekend to install the new Like feature. We don't need another day like Monday.

I tried the settings already. It only resets the order for the page you are looking at. If you get out and go back in, it opens up at the oldest page.

Still having some issues with the latest post links. The link takes me to the last page of the thread.

It also seems that when you reply to a thread and hit "Post Quick Reply" it takes you back to the last page and then you have to click on "First" to get back to the latest and greatest.

The good news is that you can just click on the thread title itself and it takes you to the last post now.

Yeah, it looks like you have to hit the "new posts" button first and then click on the thread title and it "should" take you to the last post. Works for me anyway.........
