Poolman you know I have an infinate amount of respect for your timing, so I have to ask are you going to hang out in the G-Fund for the rest of the month? Better yet, what would you be doing if you had IFT'd in at the beginning of this month like I did?

As most people know JTH,

Nothing goes straight up. I think out of the last 18 day's 16 have been up. Market's will need a breather sometime. The question is when ?

With allot of deep thought lately I hate to bet against our country but I don't believe all the goverment number's. Anyone who Say's we have virtually no inflation if full of it. My Grocery Bill's don't agree with no inflation. Food prices are through the roof around here and Gas prices are also edging higher and higher.

With all that said the Bull's are still in control but I would not be comfortable being in with 16 of the last 18 day's being up. I'm looking for a good dip before getting in. With 2 IFT's per month the game has changed drastically. :(
 
Good point on Food but it's not that the numbers are being fudged - if I remember properly, it's not in the calculations because its considered a necessity and not "discretionary" and subject to extreme seasonal blips. Gasoline also isn't counted if I remember properly, because it's a necessity. I don't have time to check.

Always check what's being measured and don't depend on just one number to get an idea of where we are - I can't stand these one line statistical sound bites we get on the news now.

I had been wondering the same thing.....what happened to those miracle rabbit out of a hat profits bold moves......does Poolman have trader's block?

Or....does he...like me, believe that this is a phony market, buoyed only by stimuli, extended unemployment benefits ad nauseum (like today's), home rebates ad nauseum (like proposed today, for CA, to begin one day after the fed's expires), incredible deficits, etc....and the day of reckoning is coming - - - -

I don't feel the conviction with the current gains in the Markets. Volume has been Light. Maybe I can get a quick move in before the Month ends. :nuts:

Hello Everyone. Me and the Family went downtown D.C. yesterday to see the cherry blossoms. It was beautiful. We walked around the whole tidal basin and man my leg's are feeling it today. Here are a couple of pictures I took.
