Poolman's Account Talk

I am going to suggest something to everyone.

Around the noon time frame this site has a tendency to get very slow.

It is also the time frame that we have our last chance to make our IFT

move. I am talking about 15 minutes before our IFT cutoff time. 11:45

A.M. up until noon.

Can we out of common courtesy to these people that are looking for

there last clues on what they want to do IFT Wise not post anything that

does not pertain to the immediate Market Analysis and Situation that we

are all here for. Thanks. Poolman

:)

Hi POOLMAN, :D
Common courtesy is always a good thing when I was growing up and for techies, sharing data is usually good. I feel that noone knows everything, some more than others and we need to keep our communication lines as open, useful and as functional as possible.
I always like to think I agree with the POOLMAN, and this seems to be correct, so it's another MUST, that I must follow. :)

Thanks dannyboy,

Very good points you make. I may be guilty to some extent myself and I will only post between this 15 minute window if I think it is relevant to making money or helping to make money. Thanks again
:)

You think it's the postings that is slowing it down, P-man, or everyone refreshing every 30 seconds to see what your move is going to be for the day? :)

Refreshing here on msg board doesn't require log on, but in autotracker it does. I certainly can be logged out of msg board by 11:45 a.m. The autotracker may be a different story. Maybe Tom could inform us.

I try to post my move here by 11:45a.m.

I do it for the guest's that are not member's. All the member's of this site

have access to the auto tracker if they want to join it. If Tom would

rather me not post my move here of course I will stop. I'm trying to help

everyone make money. Of course anyone can do what they want.

Any post's that are not relevant to making money within this 15 minute

window is just putting more strain on the system.:)

Poolman it's time to get rid of your dial-up :p

Seriously though, I've not noticed a change in connection speed during the peak hours, but I would be curious if Tom has.

I'm with Comcast Cable. Just tested.

Poolman,

I am for the cause. I am logging out until after 12:30.:D Actually I have already moved everything into G. But you make a good point. Later.

I will be going to the Lilly pad today. 100% - G.

I'm not happy with January at all, and I'm not happy with any good

prospects or news coming our way.

Let me try this again in February.

Hi, Poolman:

Even though you aren't happy with January, I have to thank you for helping me time things right. I'm shocked to say that I'm ending January with a return of +3%! This is after taking a 13% loss last year (which is't bad compared to a lot of people). Your comments and video referrals were instrumental in this happening.

Thanks again!

I have, and have been trying to get my hosting company to test the "stress levels" between 11:30 and 12 noon ET.

I tend forget during that busy time, but I saw this thread and am online with live help - but waiting for a response.

I've had to upgrade twice because of traffic increases, but actually I believe traffic is down since the limits kicked in last year, so perhaps it is a hardware issue?? I will look into it.

Thanks!

Thanks Tom... That would be the Ultimate Fix... :D

Good Job starcrwn, I'm happy that I could help you out. I unfortunately timed everything wrong. I am not happy with the news right now and don't see a silver lining. Welcome to the Message Board. :)

In the meantime, I will run an optimization routine on the database and see if that helps. Of course we won't know if it helps until Monday between 11:30 and 12:00. Things might be slow while it runs.

That's Understandable and Yes we won't know until Monday.

I did not notice any slowdown today.

Everyone was very Cooperative to my Suggestion.

Thanks to Everyone. :)

Thanks to Everyone. :)
I did notice a little pickup after I ran the optimization script, but it was after 12 noon ET so that's not a great test.

So yes, thanks to those who helped today, but let's go back to "normal" Monday so we can watch it and see where the slowdown might be occuring. It may be something minor, or it could be time to upgrade to a bigger server.

Thanks!
