It has been more than a few months since you've posted any traders' videos, Poolman. Do you anticipate getting back into that?

And - are you going to get to use the snowblower this year after all ?? Sunday forcast! :D

Happy Birthday Poolman!!!

Hello Everybody, I'm still around. NNUUT's answer was the correct answer. I'm working quite abit lately doing allot of odd jobs. We had a storm where I live two nights ago that wreaked havoc on everything outside around my home. The winds go up to 100 mph and took down one of our very big Maple trees. This is going to be a pretty major cleanup and I'm sure very time consuming. Ton's of trips to the dump to get rid of this tree. It knocked out the power to my house for one day, Thank Goodness for generators but the Heat started building quickly in our home and turned into a very uncomfortable day by not being able to run the central air conditioner.

I have to start watching what I do because my lower back has been very painful from time to time and I mean daily. I did go to the Doctor and he has told me I have generative disc disease. Great 50 year's old and my back is starting to go. I've tried also seeing a spine & neck place and they gave me 6 epidural shots on either side of my lower disc's. That took most of the pain away for about 4 day's and it came right back. What a joke that was. They also have tried me on several different pain medications and for every 30 day trial between Doctors appointments nothing has really helped not to mention I've read all the side effects from everything they have tried and some of them are pretty severe. They put me on this one drug call "Nucynta". After taking that for 3 weeks one morning I woke up and I had only been up for about 1 hour and my whole body started acting really weird. I was Hot the Cold, shaking, praying, and feeling very out of sorts. I called my wife witch I didn't even know it I could do and told her to call for an ambulance. Wife got very emotional and worried, she was at work and took a cab to get home from D.C. right away. I ended up in the hospital where they took several test and the only thing that I could think of that I had done anything different in my daily routines was to be taking that drug. I stopped taking it right away and have not had an episode since. This happened about a year or so ago. So right now I'm living with the constant daily pain "some day's worse than others" and gonna try to hang in there this way. I'm really scared of surgery especially at my age. I don't want to make the mistake and with I didn't opt for surgery.

Anyway I just got a call, Somebody Internet has been down for two day's and they are begging me to come over right now for Free, Ugh, Whole nother story. So I will let you all go and I will try to stay in touch better than I have been,

Take Care Everybody and As always Take Care,

Paul Poolman

Dear Poolman,

Actually the best thing you can do for your back is an excercise program designed to increase the muscle mass in your back. Larger muscle mass will help support the discs from moving - muscles provide stability. The only problem with this approach is that the required pain from exercising will bring tears to your eyes - but in several months you'll recognize the difference. It's really the only viable solution - exercise until it hurts.

I knew you were busy PM, sorry to hear about your back I think Birch has it right. Bad weather, reminds me of when hurricane Hugo decided to go right over my house, 6 pine trees 2 oak trees and three of my neighbors pines in my back yard, bought my first Chain Saw a Poulan 335, still have it and it cuts just fine. Had some big storms go through here this afternoon fed by the heat, plenty of rain and lightening but not much wind, put on a hell of a show. Come back and see us more often we miss your input.

I suffered with ruptured disc's (4th and 5th lumbar) for over a year..did every back therapy known to man..nothing helped and only got worse..Eventually I couldn't feel my right foot and the mega ache and pain in my ass-cheeks was constant..Finally I had surgery in 2002 and I was cured and I was 49..the problem and pain is completely gone..No fusion either, They just remove the spurs and humps from the lumbar vertabrae and excised the two discs, leaving only a few MM of disc in there for scar tissue to build on to...worked, I'm 100% again in my back. Except for the 6" scar on my lower back..It took me about 8 weeks where I was feeling nearly 100% again..

So Please take care and look into that option..I never regretted it..
