Poolman's Account Talk

Today's Weakness in the markets is a pretty decent sized dip. It's awe full tempting to go against everything you think is right because that sometimes works and you could get a nice one day pop out of this to the plus on your tsp account. Awe full tempting as I said but

I cannot play this temptation. I need confirmation which would be more weakness this coming to Tuesday or what we say is follow through to the downside.

That is when I would jump in. But like I said today is tempting.:)

It appears that there will be allot position shifts on the auto tracker this evening.

ha ha the way things are going you're going to pass me up today! :p
Like you said I'll look for confirmation. A quick looks tells me the SPX 1115 swing low is the line in the sand. I'm also of the belief we may start trading sidways again. I have nothing to back that up, it's just an educated hunch based on previous price action.

Well today was not a complete disaster. Nice going on the tracker by the way. Feels good being up there doesn't it. We managed to avert the pivot point in the S&P (1133) and stay above it.

I don't know what is going to happen Tuesday but it Could change sentiment or we remain in a channel. I just think the market is priced to perfection so it is going to take some Dxmn Good News or Bad to push it out of the channel. We will see but for now we are at the low side of the channel. This Damn Will Burst Soon.

Now who do you think is defaulting on their credit cards? I bet it's the same underclass folks that were unqualified for their mortgages. Unfortunately, they are going to be pushed back to the stone age and it's their own fault. Keep your ammo because they will point fingers at the more responsible individuals who are paying an inordinate price because of this credit crisis. BHO cannot save them.

Thankfully the Wife and I pay our Credit Cards off Monthly. I cannot believe the interest rates that some of these cards are charging for revolving credit. It's absolutely insane. I think one of my cards charges close to 30% percent interest. You would have to be Fool not to pay your cards in full monthly But some people cannot.

The Wife and I are at the point where we only Buy what we need in life. For the most part We already have what we want.

My Goal is to have 1.5 million dollars by the time we retire. I think it is a reasonable goal and we are on track to having it. :)

Birch it is become bigger than that. Subprime was just the straw that broke the camels back. Now that we sent all of our middle class manufacturing jobs to other countries we are failing fast. The middle class will start walking away from the collateralized debt faster.

Snow ball.

We pay our credit cards off monthly as well. Hard enough to swallow the intrest for the house and college loans let alone the credit cards. Will not be anywhere near 1M let alone 1.5M when I retire. Good thing I am CSRS. Poolman good for you and your investments.

Thanks nasa1974,

And good for you being in the CSRS program. My Wife missed that opportunity by 6 month's. FERS program for her. She's been in 23 years and Loves her job. Sometimes stressful But what job isn't. My neighbor is in the CSRS program. It's a small world, It seems that everywhere you turn someone is in the government. We also only have 1 child but we where lucky to have her. She is only 12 but the Wife and I definitely will be helping her along. Car, College, and to the rescue I'm sure many times. That's OK, I Love her.

Are we in a New Bull Market OR Are we in a Cyclical Bull Market within an Overall Bear Market ?
