Oil tops $64 on gas supply worries

International Energy Agency says oil stocks may drop further, after the biggest first-quarter decline in a decade.

April 13 2007: 6:29 AM EDT

LONDON (Reuters) -- Oil topped $64 a barrel on Friday, extending a 3 percent gain a day earlier, as traders fretted over a spate of refinery outages in the United States that drained gasoline stocks ahead of the summer driving season.
The market was also supported by a warning from the International Energy Agency (IEA) that oil stocks in industrialized nations may drop further in coming months, after recording the biggest first-quarter decline in a decade. (More)

Good Mileage

Good to Know

A 2006 study found that the average American walks
about 900 miles per year.:D

Another study found that Americans drink an average
of 22 gallons of beer per year.

That means, on average, Americans get approximately
41 miles per gallon.:suspicious:

A man was driving down the road and ran out of gas.
Just at that moment, a bee flew in his window.

The bee said, "What seems to be the problem"?

"I'm out of gas!"

The bee told the man to wait right there
and flew away. Minutes later, the man
watched as an entire swarm of bees flew
to his car and into his gas tank. After a
few minutes, the bees flew out.

"Try it now," said one bee.

The man turned the ignition key and the
car started right up.
"Wow!" the man exclaimed.
"What did you put in my gas tank"?

The bee answered, "BP.":D :D :D

Exactly! It's poor Government
regulation, the oil companies are making sure they get theirs, and OPEC is making sure they get theirs, and we are catching it from both sides. Now our refineries can't handle the load!! That's what I call a preplaned shortage.

And just WHY is production declining? BAD PLANNING!!!!! on the Govt. regulators part and GREAT PLANNING on the part of the OIL COMPANIES and OPEC!!
